The business end of the Champions League kicks off on Tuesday night, with the first four games of the knockout stages getting underway. We’ve got a value-packed acca in the pipeline, paying a cool £93 from just a £10 bet with BetMGM.
In the early kick-off, Galatasaray host Juventus, in what looks set to be a feisty game as they meet for the first time since 2013. Last season’s Champions League winners, PSG, travel to fellow Ligue 1 side Monaco, and Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund face a tricky tie against an Atalanta side that will have been frustrated to lose their last two games and miss out on an automatic spot.
The tie of the round comes from the Estadio da Luz, as Jose Mourinho’s Benfica take on Real Madrid in a re-run of their epic League Phase game, where goalkeeper Anatoliy Trubin scored in stoppage time to grab the last remaining play-off spot on goal difference.
If the league phase was anything to go by, it should be a cracking night ahead.

Bet 1: Galatasaray vs Juventus – Galatasaray or Draw (Double Chance)
Galatasaray away is a fixture that no team relishes. The cauldron that is Rams Park will be loud, feisty and for a lot of teams, too much to cope with. Arne Slot’s Liverpool side found out firsthand to their detriment this season, losing 1-0 thanks to a Victor Osimhen penalty.
The reigning Turkish champions have lost just once at home in the league this season and, in the Champions League, have already beaten Liverpool and Bodo/Glimt and drawn with Atletico Madrid.
Juventus were beaten on the road against Inter Milan at the weekend and looked leggy in the second half as they pushed to get something out of the game. We were tempted to jump into the 5/2 on offer for Galatasaray win here, but odds of 7/10 on the double chance provide a little more insurance.
Bet 2: Monaco vs PSG – Aleksandr Golovin Over 1.5 Fouls
Monaco have only lost once at home to PSG in their last five meetings. They're almost turning into a bit of a bogey team for the reigning champions, and our eyes are immediately drawn to the double chance market once again, this time priced at 13/10 with the best Champions League betting sites for Monaco to win or draw.
However, PSG have a habit of stepping up in these big games, so there’s more risk to this than the Galatasaray bet above. Instead, we’re targeting the player tackles market for this game, and more specifically, Monaco’s tenacious Russian centre midfielder, Aleksandr Golovin. He’s already committed 13 fouls from 6 Champions League games this season (one every 74 minutes) and has 21 in 16 from Ligue 1.
Now, these aren’t astronomical numbers by any means, but when you consider that he’s going to go up against the likes of Vitinha, Joao Neves and Fabian Ruiz in the middle of the park for PSG, as a match-up, Golovin is going to have to be physical here. Priced at 21/20 for over 1.5 fouls looks fair game here.
Bet 3: Borussia Dortmund vs Atalanta – Dortmund to Win
On paper, this is a game that Dortmund should be winning. They are unbeaten at home in the Bundesliga and have lost just once in the Champions League, to Inter Milan, in the last game of the league phase.
That defeat was only the third time they’ve been beaten at Iduna Park in the last five years in the UCL, which shows how much of a fortress the place has become.
Atalanta’s away form so far has been erratic. There’s no shame in their defeat away to PSG, before going on to beat both Marseille and Frankfurt in their own backyard. But they were utterly toothless in their 1-0 defeat to Union SG, which effectively cost them a place in the top eight.
Dortmund, priced at 49/50, looks too big to turn down here and is our third Champions League prediction of the night as a result.
Bet 4: Benfica vs Real Madrid – Alvaro Carreras 1+ Fouls
To think that we get to run back one of the most incredible Champions League games of all time is an absolute treat – for the neutrals, at least. Can Jose Mourinho stick another dagger in his former club's heart? Are we going to see another six-goal thriller? Will one of the goalkeepers get on the scoresheet again?
We live in hope, but the reality is that when it comes to the business end of the Champions League, 15-time winners Real Madrid tend to step up.
However, we’re jumping back into the player markets for this one. Alvaro Carreras has been present for most of the season at left back for Real Madrid. He’s not your typical rangey, free-flowing full-back that they’re used to in the Spanish capital, but instead more industrial, hard-working and physical.
This shows in his disciplinary record, picking up four yellow cards in six Champions League games this season, and he was sent off in La Liga against Celta Vigo in December.
Obviously, the booking market is one to consider, but we’re getting a good price of 1/3 on him committing one or more fouls. It’s a safer option here and works well as part of the wider Champions League acca.
