How Can Bets Be Entered in Excel?

Overview Tab

This is where you fill in the 18 rows dedicated to each bet:

However, thanks to the settings you've already entered in the previous steps above, most of these rows are preconfigured drop-down menus. It should therefore take you less than a minute to complete each entry!

Keeping track of all this information will allow you to generate stats and insights regarding your betting habits. Certain details, such as date, odds tracker, stake, and payout, will have to be added manually. Additionally, you'll need to update the bet's status yourself once the outcome is confirmed.

This page is perfect, as it creates a bird’s eye view of all your betting habits and behaviours, highlighting any patterns which you may want to focus on or avoid.

A system bet isn’t as straightforward to add onto the overview page, so this page does precisely that — it converts the system into a single bet format. This can then be added to the overview page.

All you need to do is add the betting information in the top-left table, and copy the data created below the ‘Evaluation’ table. This can be transferred to your betting data table in ‘Overview’.

How Does Betting Account Management Work?

For betting management purposes, make use of the following features on the Excel spreadsheet:

Accounts’ tab

The ‘Accounts’ tab is one of the most useful features on the sheet as it tracks all your current betting accounts. It’s an excellent way to group all your financials together under one roof.

The first table, shown in purple, is a long-term view of all your deposits and withdrawals from every account. It's like bankroll management tool displaying your sports betting transactions. This provides the first indication to whether or not you’re winning or losing money. If you see a lot more deposits than withdrawals, you may want to change your betting approach.

The red table provides the current balance of each bookmaker. It’s a grouping of all the listed items in the purple table, and there’s only one row per bookie. This also gives you a true indication of which bookies have been the best for you.

Using e-wallets to bet? The third table, in yellow, displays the total balance in every one of your e-wallets, making tracking a breeze.

The final set of mini tables, found on the right, indicate the total amount withdrawn and deposited. This provides you with a true overview of your winnings and losses.

How Can Betting Statistics Be Created?

A standout feature in its own right, this page compiles all the data you’ve entered and creates valuable information and stats. This could provide clues as to what your best and worst bets are, as well as any positive EV betting (expected value betting) opportunities.

You can filter by sports. Selecting football will give you all the football bets you’ve placed and details about it, including a few graphs to display the findings. You can do the same for bookmakers, odds ranges, and more.

The handy tables are used to visually track your profit/losses, stakes, and return of investments (ROI), depending on what you’re searching for.
