The UFC returns to Nashville on Saturday, 12th July, for the long-awaited heavyweight showdown between Derrick Lewis and Tallison Teixeira.

It’s a matchup that pits one of the UFC’s brightest and most feared talents in Tallison Teixeira going head-to-head with the 40-year-old knockout machine in Derrick Lewis.
The fight brings an end to a frustrating 12 months for Lewis, following the cancellation of bouts with Jhonata Diniz and Alexandr Romanov in November 2024, which meant “The Black Beast” had not fought since May 2024.
It’s been a glittering 15-year career for Lewis, and while father time catches up to the best of us, his three world titles and UFC record for most knockouts (15) are a part of a legacy that’ll continue long after he walks out of the Octagon for the last time.
Tallison Teixeira is on a completely opposite trajectory. The 6'8″ man mountain is 8-0, with seven knockouts and one technical knockout in an impressive start for the 25-year-old.
The hype around the Brazilian is real. Most have him earmarked as a future heavyweight champion, and given the brutality of his eight wins, it’s hard to argue with that.
The best UFC betting sites have the markets open for Saturday’s Fight Night, and we’ve found the best bets from the latest Derrick Lewis vs Tallison Teixeira odds to choose from.

Bet 1: Tallison Teixeira to Win – 4/11
Odds of 4/11 on a Teixeira win on Saturday night suggest the bookies think this is a foregone conclusion.
The fact that he’s 8-0 is, of course, highly impressive, but it’s been the manner of the wins that’s stood out. His last fight against “Bad Man” Justin Tafa was over in 35 seconds of Round 1 after unleashing a brutal elbow and knee attack on the Kiwi.
Let’s get one thing straight. Justin Tafa is not even in the same league as Lewis, and this will be a much harder fight as a result.
Can Lewis win? Of course. He’s got 28 wins, 15 knockouts and over a million dollars in career earnings. He’s no mug, but he’s lost five of his last eight fights, and even though he took Rodrigo Nascimento to the cleaners last up, this is a whole different ball game.
Teixeira is going right to the top, and a win against Lewis will hammer home the potential that the UFC fanboys are salivating over. Odds of 4/11 with bet365 may seem short, but we wouldn’t have been surprised to see him closer to 2/7, so we’re more than happy to take this on.
Bet 2: Tallison Teixeira KO, TKO or DQ in Round 1 – 6/4
An incredible stat: Teixeira has only once been past the first round in any of his eight bouts. This came in a decision win in a brutal fight with Jhonny Pereira at SFT Xtreme 11, highlighting the sheer power that “Xicão” possesses.
It’s one of those fights where the longer it goes on, the more Lewis comes into the frame. The veteran will know he has to pace himself as, even with his knockout power, if he gets caught early by Teixeira, it’s game over.
Backing him to get the job done in Round 1 makes a lot of sense, and some of the best betting sites have him at odds of 6/4, which looks good value. If you’re on the fence about the short price win market, this will leave a little more meat on the bone and boost those returns.
