Movement on Wednesday of Nicolas Jackson’s transfer odds suggests that a move away from Stamford Bridge could be on the cards.

The 24-year-old joined Chelsea in 2023 from Spanish outfit Villarreal for £32 million. However, he has had a turbulent time with The Blues, scoring just 10 goals in 30 games for the 2024/25 season, and has suffered from disciplinary issues both on and off the pitch.

The club's decision to strengthen the forward line with Liam Delap from Ipswich and Joao Pedro from Brighton suggests that Jackson might be moonwalking out of West London sooner rather than later.

Even with a paltry 0.37 goals per game ratio for the Senegalese international, manager Enzo Maresca has stuck with his leading man, starting him in crucial matches such as the Conference League final win over Real Betis and the Club World Cup semifinal.

Chelsea’s reported valuation for Jackson varies, but valuation specialist Transfermarkt suggest upwards of £50 million. Even if they landed anywhere close to this, it would mean a tidy profit that would no doubt encourage owner Todd Boehly to continue to splurge on reinforcements.

There is, of course, a chance that Jackson stays. He’s contracted until 2033, and with Delap and Pedro still unproven at the very highest level, Maresca could still choose to keep him as part of a rotation between the three.

bet365’s expert analyst Steve Freeth notes that Jackson’s high price tag may deter potential suitors. For now, the odds of 6/5 to stay at Chelsea make it the most likely outcome.

Jackson to Be Man in the Mirror for United – Odds 9/2

Out of all the possible moves away from Chelsea for Jackson, a transfer to Manchester United is the most obvious.

It’s a club that is desperate for goals after a meagre 44 in 2024/25, contributing to a season that flattered to deceive under Ruben Amorim.

What Jackson will bring is much-needed pace and physicality, which aligns perfectly with United’s high-pressing, dynamic style that Amorim has been trying to implement.

At 24, he’s at an age where there’s room to grow, but at the same time, ready to hit the ground running.

A stumbling block in the deal will be the price. They’ve already completed a £62 million deal for Wolves’ Matheus Cunha, and with a potential deal in place for Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo, can Sir Jim find the cash to continue to splurge?

A(B)C Milan to Tell United to Beat It – Odds 5/1

An interesting option for Jackson would be a move to Serie A. AC Milan has already been in contact with Chelsea over a deal, but Fabrizio Romano stated on July 11 that the asking price was too high, which deterred the Italian outfit.

However, it appears that a deal is not yet out of reach. Following the end of the 2024/25 season, they decided against renewing Luka Jovic’s contract and allowed Tammy Abraham to go on loan to Besiktas.

If the fee hampers a permanent move, a loan with an option or obligation could work well for both parties and fill the void left by the two departures.

Odds of 5/1 for Jackson to join AC Milan suggest that this door hasn’t yet been closed, and if United decide to go in a different direction, it could be a way out for Jackson at a top club.

Aston Villa to Line Up a Thriller – Odds 8/1

Unai Emery coached Jackson at Villarreal, so the noise around a move to Aston Villa carries more weight than it might initially appear.

There has been a lot of talk about Ollie Watkins leaving this summer, and if that does happen, they will need a replacement. Jackson is similar to Watkins in many ways: quick, strong, and able to lead the line, which should make him a good fit.

But like AC Milan, price will be a sticking point. Odds of 8/1 for this move to get done look a little short, and this is a move we’d probably avoid for that reason.
