The eyes of the boxing world focus on Wembley Stadium this Saturday night as we get set for the heavyweight rematch between Oleksandr Usyk and Daniel Dubois.

This one is for lock, stock and barrel. Usyk currently has the WBA (Super), WBC and WBO belts, and Dubois holds the IBF as the pair go head-to-head for a second time for the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world.
Dubois will feel like he’s out for revenge after the pair first faced off in 2023.
A devastating uppercut to the body sent Usyk to the canvas in the fifth, but referee Luis Pabon deemed it a low-blow and discounted the knockdown, allowing Usyk extra time to set himself.
The Ukrainian's class eventually shone, and he stopped the Brit in the ninth round to take a controversial, but statement win.
It makes Usyk vs Dubois 2 a real humdinger. Dubois is going to have to do what neither Tyson Fury nor Anthony Joshua could: end Usyk’s 23-0-0 record. A mammoth task, but one that will cement a legacy if he can pull it off.

Tip #1: Oleksandr the Great: Usyk to Win the Fight
We need to start having a conversation about legacy with Usyk. He’s unbeaten in 23 fights and a multi-weight undisputed champion. His name must be in the discussion about one of the best to don the gloves.
He made the step up from cruiserweight to heavyweight as there was no one left to fight. Most thought that at 198¼ pounds, he was too small. And how wrong they were.
It’s not just the fact that the Ukrainian has beaten Derek Chisora, Anthony Joshua (twice), Tyson Fury (twice) and of course, Saturday’s opponent, Daniel Dubois. But it’s been the manner of the victories that’s been most impressive, comfortably despatching all that’s been put in front of him.
The first fight between Usyk and Dubois was marred with controversy when the ref called a low blow on what looked like a legitimate shot to floor Usyk.
But he reacted like all the greats that have gone before him by picking himself back up and slowly but surely dismantling Dubois punch by punch. A devastating KO in the ninth was enough to retain the WBA, IBF and WBO and set up two legacy-defining fights with Tyson Fury.
It’s tough to look past anything other than a Usyk win and unification. Odds of 4/11 are on the short side, but it’s a strong inclusion as part of our Usyk vs Dubois tips.
Tip #2: Dubois to be Knocked Down
Usyk already has a history of knocking down Dubois. He did it twice in the first fight, and if he’s going to make it two wins in a row against the Brit, he will likely do it again this time around.
The issue that Dubois will have against a clever boxer like Usyk is that he’s hyper-aggressive, which means it leaves him open to counters.
We saw that in fight one, and Usyk has employed the same strategy against both Joshua and Fury in their duels.
It’s not so much a power thing. In fact, Dubois has by far a heavier hit than Usyk, but the Ukrainian will grind Dubois down, and it’s more a cumulation of hits rather than just catching him with a lucky swipe.
Dubois to hit the canvas makes the second of our picks.
Tip #3: Fight to Go Over 8.5 Rounds
Since the jump to heavyweight from cruiserweight, all but one of Usyk’s seven bouts have gone into the ninth round, averaging 10.2 rounds per fight.
Dubois has shown in the first fight that he has the legs to get there, although most of his wins have come inside the ninth. Given that we predict him to lose on Saturday, betting on the over 8.5 rounds makes sense.
To win this fight, Dubois will have to catch Usyk early. And Usyk knows this. He will be smart, avoid confrontation and pick him off in the middle to late rounds once he starts to tire.
It’s going to be a fascinating fight at a sold-out Wembley Stadium, and we can’t wait to see how one of the best boxing matches of 2025 unfolds.
