Bet 1: Manchester City to beat Crystal Palace

Per Guardiola’s side might not have the same aura as they did in their 2018-18 100-points season, but underestimate this side at your peril. They’ve quietly been going about their business and for all the talk about Arsenal finally winning the league for the first time in 22 years, City are just three points behind.

Their away home has been sketchy. They’ve picked up just 10 points from their seven and have lost two of their last three. But their win against Real Madrid at the Bernabeu mid-week shows that, on their day, they can beat anyone.

Palace will be delighted with life under Oliver Glasner. Fourth in the league and looking good to qualify for the knockout phase of the Conference League.

Aside from their FA Cup final win over City at Wembley, they’ve a torrid record against them, winning once in their last fourteen meetings.

It was tempting to look at the goals market for this one, given that BTTS has landed in 57% of both teams' respective home and away games, but 17/20 for a City win is too big to ignore. Palace won’t be a pushover, but when City smell blood (Arsenal), they generally pounce, and we’re backing them to do just that on Sunday.

Bet 2: Sunderland vs Newcastle – BTTS Yes

When Sunderland got promoted from the Championship last season, few would have predicted that they’d be sitting pretty in 9th after 15 games and almost guaranteed to stay up.

But Regis le Bris – and the recruitment team – have performed wonders on Wearside, and they head into the first Wear-Tyne derby in the Premier League for almost a decade with a genuine chance of picking up all three points.

However, the numbers suggest that they may be flattering to deceive. The xG-adjusted league table has the Black Cats in 19th place, with fewer points than even Wolves. They’ve been riding their luck in close, hard-fought games, and eventually this will even itself out.

That said, it’s almost impossible to back Newcastle to win this on the road with any conviction. They’ve won just one game away all season and are starting to really struggle to see games out, with another late goal in the Champions League scuppering what should have been a win in Leverkusen.

We instead turn our attention to the total goals market, and more specifically, both teams to score. With 71% of Sunderland’s home and 57% of Newcastle’s away games landing BTTS, this looks the best value.

Admittedly, we’d like a little more meat on the bone than 7/10, but it’s just enough to make the cut here as part of Sunday’s huge clash in the Northeast.

Bet 3: Brentford vs Leeds – Over 2.5 Goals

Brentford vs Leeds could low-key be the game of the weekend. You’ve got two of the worst defences in the league and two teams that aren’t shy of scoring a goal or two. It could well be total chaos, and we’re here for it.

The numbers have immediately drawn us to the goals market. They actually both average 71% for over 2.5 goals in their home and away games, which is one of the highest in the entire league.

We flirted with the idea of taking Brentford to win at 10/11, given they’ve won their last three at the Gtech Stadium, and it’s backed by the fact that Leeds have won just three points in their seven games on the road.

But the Premier League's unpredictability this season has our heads scrambled. Just look at the table, and you can see how hard it is to pick winners on the 1×2 consistently.

Getting a strong price (10/11) for over 2.5 goals for this game makes a lot of sense, and it’s in as the final part of our Sunday Premier League acca tips.
