The Scotland fans have made such a huge impression on the city of Boston during this World Cup. It’s been great to see, but I get the feeling conditions are about to go dead against the players for their final World Cup Group C match when they move to Florida.
We’re looking at a real feel of 42º in Miami on Wednesday, an extreme UV index, and massive humidity. They say no Scotland, no party, but I get the impression that we’ll be seeing more of the samba than the Slosh come Wednesday night.
I’ve got three great bets I’m taking with Betfred, who have a brilliant offer for us on England and Scotland bet builders.

I might get pelters for this, but I fear that Scotland might get gubbed in Miami. Despite the presence of Scott McTominay and John McGinn, Steve Clarke’s men haven’t really shown enough, and this is the wrong location for them to be playing Brazil.
Betfred is offering £10 in free bets when you place a £10+ bet builder at odds of 3/1 or more on England and Scotland games. I’m jumping all over that one.
Back Over 2.5 Goals
In this game, you’ve got to know when to pivot. I went for the ‘unders’ markets at the start of the tournament, including for the Scotland v Morocco game, based on xG – expected goals stats. When we’re looking for goals, however, we need to see a fast start to a game, which I think Brazil will get. More on that below.
Yes, there have only been two goals in Scotland’s games so far, but this is really about the favourites as the game will be played to their tune. There have been five goals in Brazil’s two games so far, and they’re seemingly just warming up.
Back Brazil/Brazil (Half-Time/Full-Time)
As I said, the Scotland fans have been great, but there’s been a big difference between those on the park and those in the stands. So far, they’ve only beaten the diddie team in the group (1-0), and the writing is on the wall.
All four of Brazil’s goals have been scored in the first half. Scotland conceded after 70 seconds against Morocco. That’s the recipe. In these conditions, Brazil are almost certain to make a faster start than Scotland, and can put them away early which means we can squeeze some more value out of the World Cup odds for backing the Samba Boys to win.
Back Over 8.5 Corners
I went for under 8.5 corners last time against Morocco, but this is a different scenario. There have been eight corners taken in each of Brazil’s two games at the World Cup, and seven in each of Scotland’s. That’s based on a slow tempo and a prioritisation on solid defensive play, which I think Brazil can throw out the window here.
I was tempted with over 4.5 in the first half, given that I’m banking on a fast start for Brazil, but the smart play is over 8.5 total, which in this situation looks right as the last of my Scotland v Brazil betting tips.
