Bet 1: Brazil to Win

Brazil lost six times in 18 games through their qualifying campaign and progressed by the skin of their teeth. As a football fan, a World Cup without Brazil would have been a tough watch, but it’s hard to argue that they aren’t the dominant force of world football that they once were.

They kick off Group C with a tricky match against the current AFCON champions, Morocco, albeit in a controversial manner.

It should be a game they can navigate and get through, with plenty of talent on show in the form of Raphina, Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo, Gabriel, Alisson, Debinha and Marquinhos, to name just a few.

Priced at around 4/6 to win the game, I think it looks strong. There’s no doubt, this is a tough game to start with, but it could set the tone and warrant their relatively short World Cup odds of 9/1 to win the tournament outright.

Bet 2: Both Teams to Score Yes

Whenever Brazil have come up against stiff opposition, they’ve struggled to keep them out at the back. The likes of Egypt, Croatia, Tunisia, France, Japan, Argentina and even Panama have managed to chalk against A Seleção.

Morocco have the players to cause them problems. Achraf Hakimi, Youssef En-Nesyri and Ayoub El Kaabi are all quality players, so there’s no lack of talent here.

What’s swayed me is that we can get even money for this bet. Anytime you get around evens in a game, which could be tough to navigate for a favourite like Brazil, I tend to jump on it, and that’s exactly what I’ve done here.

Bet 3: Over 2.5 Goals

This is a natural addition to my Brazil vs Morocco betting tips, given I’ve backed Brazil to win and both teams to score. Over 2.5 has to come into play here, so in it goes.

Even as a standalone bet, we’re getting almost even money once again for over 2.5 goals from two teams that like to attack and aren’t great at the back. Am I missing something there?

Just looking at Brazil’s last few games, and they’ve covered the line in six of their last eight. For Morocco, the numbers aren’t as high, covering in four of their last six, but combined, I think even money is a huge price for the over 2.5 market.

Bet 4: Over 8.5 Corners

The corner line is interesting. They are both split at around 50% for over 8.5 corners across their last 10 games. But what’s interesting is that in all of those games, Brazil and Morocco have had more corners than their opponents.

This shows that both are capable of winning a bunch between them and I think it might be quite an open game, which should allow that corner count to nicely creep up.

Again, it comes down to the odds as to whether there is value and 8/11 for over 8.5 match corners is just on the right side of where I want to be for this market.

Bet 5: Over 3.5 Cards

My final pick comes from the card market. These are two teams that do not shy away from a card or two.

Between them, over their last 10 games, they have accumulated 28 yellow cards, with both teams spiking in competitive games compared to friendlies.

Brazil have a couple of players in Casemiro and Bruno Guimaraes who are walking yellow cards alone, so I’m confident that over 3.5 cards is a good line and a decent price at 4/6.
