With only four gameweeks of the season left, it's squeaky bum time for those in a relegation scrap. For Sunday’s games, only Spurs feature from the bottom sides, but there’s plenty of implications for those chasing down Europe, as Bournemouth host Palace, plus the small matter of Manchester United vs Liverpool to get stuck into this bank holiday weekend. My 6/1 treble is live, so let’s jump in.

Bournemouth vs Crystal Palace – Both Teams to Score

Bournemouth are having one of the weirdest seasons I’ve seen for some time. After losing their opening game against Liverpool in a 4-2 thriller, they went on an unbeaten run of eight games, followed that with an 11-game winless run, and are now on a run of 14 games unbeaten. Crazy.

While the Cherries head into this one as firm favourites, I’m not loving the 4/7 price for them to take all three points. Crystal Palace are no mugs, and their away form has been considerably better than that at Selhurst Park.

They’re coming off the back of a long trip to Shakhtar Donetsk in the Conference League, but mathematically, they aren’t safe yet, albeit highly unlikely they will go down. Taking that into consideration, I’m not sure whether Oliver Glasner will rotate players for this one, so at this point, it’s a tough one to call on the results front.

I do, however, like the both teams to score market. The pair are both strong candidates, with 65% home and 56% away conversion rates. Supporting this is the fact that Bournemouth have failed to keep a clean sheet in 12 of their 17 home games and have one of the highest equaliser rates in the league, at 68%, if they were to fall behind.

Palace have scored in each of their last six away matches and in 13 of their 16 away games this season. Betfred are offering a generous 4/5 for BTTS, and I think that offers enough value to kick off my Sunday treble.

Manchester United vs Liverpool – Isak to Score or Assist

It’s weird to suggest that these two teams are very evenly matched on paper, given where they’ve been, not just over the last few seasons, but even up until Christmas. But with 16 points from eight games apiece, we have third vs fourth in one of the fiercest rivals in the country. Or at least, that’s what the prawn sandwich brigade will tell you.

The bookies have totally smothered the goals market here, and rightly so. There’s not much on the bone for taking over 2.5 at 1/2 or both teams to score at 4/9. And it’s such an erratic fixture that, in recent history, there’s nothing to suggest that either team has a mental blocker over the other.

So, where do we go? Alexander Isak. The Swede is back from his long-term injury and looked sharp for a lot of the 78 minutes he got last week against Crystal Palace. It’s been a tough run for Isak since his record Premier League transfer from Newcastle, but I don’t think anyone is questioning if he will come good at Liverpool; it’s just a matter of when.

We can get even money on Isak to score or assist on Sunday. There’ll be no Mo Salah or Hugo Ekitike, so he could take on the role of penalty taker as well, which gives us some more outs here. I think the game will see goals, and, for me right now, most likely for Liverpool, it's Isak.

Aston Villa vs Tottenham Hotspur – Villa to Win

Tottenham’s win over Wolves last week did little to boost my confidence in them staying in the league. They look abject, void of ideas, and lacking in quality throughout the pitch.

Granted, three points were all they needed, but they’re going to have to find another gear against Villa on Sunday evening if they want to get anything from this game and pick up what will likely need to be at least three wins from their final four.

Luckily for Roberto de Zerbi’s side, Villa are playing this game either side of their Europa League semi-final with Nottingham Forest, so fatigue could play a role. Unai Emery might look to rest a few key players, but even though they have an eight-point cushion over sixth and Champions League football next season looking highly likely, Emery will be conscious of making their return to the big time harder than it could be toward the end of the season with a slip-up here.

I’m struggling to look past anything other than a Villa win at 23/20, though. I feel it’s too steep a price to turn down, and Spurs have yet to show me anything to suggest they are capable of turning their sinking ship around.
