Smarkets Welcome Offer: Trade With 0% Commission for 60 Days

screenshot of smarkets 0% commission welcome offer

The Smarkets exchange bonus for new customers allows you to trade with 0% commission for 60 days upon making a first deposit of at least £10.

Smarkets is a betting exchange where you bet against other punters rather than against the house. This often creates better odds, as Smarkets do not take a percentage. Instead, they charge a small commission of 2% on all winning bets.

To take advantage of the welcome offer, join up and add the Smarkets promo code (COMMFREE). The £10 deposit to unlock the offer is a small commitment and you can try the site at your own pace, looking at different markets.

In the initial period, it makes sense to focus on bets that will be settled within 60 days, rather than long-term outrights. Bets settled after the 60-day period will be liable to 2% commission.

How to Use Smarkets Bonus Codes

To take advantage of this Smarkets exchange welcome bonus, you need to sign up, complete the registration process, enter the promo code for Smarkets and make your deposit.

This is usual practice amongst some of the best online UK betting sites, even though you don’t usually have to enter a promo code. For instance, the process is very similar to another UK exchange, Matchbook.

Follow our step-by-step guide:

Smarkets Promo Codes for Existing Customers

Smarkets’ forte is giving bettors the chance to trade peer-to-peer, enabling them to get, in general, better odds due to not taking a margin. They do not currently offer any promos for existing customers. However, if this is to change, then we will list them and add the bonus codes here.

How Do Smarkets Promo Codes Compare to Others?

Smarkets are all about their overall service and the value that you will get on a consistent basis, with their industry low 2% commission. The offer is good value, especially if you have some success with your betting over the first couple of months. However, how do they rate against other bonuses out there? We compared them to some other betting websites.

We first put Smarkets up against another exchange, Matchbook. One of the things we like about Smarkets’ welcome offer is that it allows newcomers to exchange betting to place a low deposit and then experiment with the site, while enjoying commission free wins for the first 60 days. Matchbook, however, provide a range of welcome offers. The option is there to take up an equivalent offer, however, they give new customers a great deal of choice. And the highest value offer is Bet £50 Get £50 in Free Bets. The £50 must be split into, at least, four separate wagers, so there is plenty of scope to check out the site. If you don’t want to commit £50 as your first deposit, there are other bet and get welcome offers available for a lower deposit.

At bet365, you have the option to deposit £5 or £10 and get three times that value in Free Bets when your qualifying bets are settled. Once you have placed your qualifying bet, you are guaranteed some free bets to use on the site and the minimum odds are generous. So, while you have to wait for your bet to be settled, unlike Smarkets, you are guaranteed something tangible whether your qualifying bet wins or loses.

Ladbrokes give you four times your money for only a £5 deposit, with generous qualifying odds. The free bets come as 4 x £5, enabling you to really try out the site. You could make your qualifying bet on something that has a strong chance of coming in, before getting more creative further down the line.

My Verdict: Ladbrokes – 4x the value plus flexibility

Christopher: Smarkets’ bonus allows us to continue reaping the benefits for 60 days while we get used to exchange betting. Matchbook offer us something similar, however, their highest value welcome bonus can net us £50, the most lucrative of the offers looked at. And while bet365 also offer excellent value, my preference is for Ladbrokes, given that the free bets come as 4 x £20, giving us more chances to try out their sportsbook.

Smarkets Bonus Code Terms and Conditions

Smarkets’ welcome bonus is easy to activate, enabling you to unlock the benefits upon making your first deposit. However, every bonus comes with T&Cs, so you need to look thoroughly at them to make sure you don’t miss out. Here is everything you need to know:

INFO

A key point to note is that SBK customers are ineligible for the welcome bonus. SBK is a mobile betting site operated by Smarkets, and the company’s policy is that you can only claim the welcome offer for whichever platform you register with first.

Deposit and Withdrawal Methods to Use with Smarkets Bonus Codes

You can only claim the Smarkets UK welcome offer with deposits made by debit card or instant bank transfer. Like most other UK bookmakers, deposits made using Eurocard, Neteller, Skrill, Trustly, Paypal and other e-wallets will not be eligible. Cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin or Ethereum are not eligible either.

This is standard practice within the industry, and it’s worth noting that Smarkets allows a wider range of payment methods compared to other exchanges, such as Matchbook or SpreadEx.

Other Promo Codes to Consider

The UK’s best bookmakers have an array of promotions and bonuses for new and existing customers. Below, we have plenty of promo codes provided by other betting sites for you to check out:

ThePuntersPage Final Say

The Smarkets welcome offer is good value – simply entering the promo code and depositing £10 allows you 60 days of betting commission free. This is a great way for those of you, who’re new to exchanges, to ease your way in. However, there are more lucrative welcome bonuses out there and, at the time of writing, Smarkets do not offer any other promotions. This demonstrates that their priority is to give value through exchange betting with a low commission of 2% on winnings, rather than provide extra incentives via promos.
