The Eurovision final 2025 is here! The running order has been confirmed, and the UK have been dealt a killer blow with the trio set to take the stage in 8th position.

The UK’s Eurovision hopes have been destroyed; the last time a nation won the Eurovision from 8th spot was in 1998. Although Loreen won it from 9th in 2023.

Since 2019, the UK has finished in last, last, 2nd, 25th, and 18th. Since 2010, the UK has finished outside the top 20 eight times. Our hopes aren’t too high this year either.

Even though the odds don’t look as bad for Remember Monday, they’re still unlikely to do very well. The odds of finishing in the top 10 are 9/1 with BoyleSports.

The Eurovision Running Order

The Eurovision final 2025 running order has been confirmed. The running order has a massive effect on how a song will fare in televoting, so for betting purposes, it’s crucial.

4Israel13Finland22Denmark
5Lithuania14Italy23Sweden
6Spain15Poland24France
7Ukraine16Germany25San Marino
8United Kingdom17Greece26Albania
9Austria18Armenia

Studies have shown that the position in the Eurovision running order can drastically increase or decrease your chance of success.

  • List Icon

In 68 editions, no team has ever won it from the 2nd spot. That’s a curse unlikely to be broken in 2025.

  • List Icon

There have never been any winners in the 16th, 25th or 26th position either, but there have been fewer editions with that many countries taking part.

  • List Icon

17th is statistically the best position with 7 winners, which makes 16th having no winners crazy.

In fact, taking a look at the previous results can reveal which spots are best:

PositionTotal WinsWins Since 2000
1st to 8th171
9th to 16th278
17th to 24th2715
25th +00

* There have been 71 winners in 68 editions. In 1969, four countries topped the leaderboard, and they shared the title.

It’s clear which spots get the most traction, and with the favourites Sweden being placed in 19th, their winning is looking even more likely. They’re currently priced at 1/1 with BoyleSports.

For 2025, it’s basically not worth betting on any of the first 8 songs or the last 2 songs. None of them had a good chance to begin with, but they’ve been hit with a positional curse.

Not too much has changed since the start of the week, except the fact that there have been two huge surprise eliminations in Belgium and the Czech Republic.

Sweden is almost guaranteed the trophy at this point, and they’re so confident that Malmö has already stated that they don’t want to host the event again.

Austria had a barnstorming semi-final, and another solid performance in the final could be enough to cause an upset.

If you’re looking for an outsider, Malta is priced as high as 150/1, and as low as 50/1 with 10bet. It’s a massive longshot, but the odds tell an interesting story.

To Finish in the Top 10

There are a few countries which will likely be in and around the top 10. With BoyleSports, Malta priced at 9/4, Italy at 2/1, and Ukraine at 11/10, have the best odds to finish in the top ten.

Televote Winners

Sweden is priced at 1/2 to win the people’s vote with bet365, but the value here is in Israel, priced at 5/1 with Unibet. It’s super political, but Israel has been pining for votes through ads and in 2023, they finished 2nd in televoting.

UK Finishing Position

Bet365 are offering odds of 33/50 for the UK to finish higher than 24th. There are some stinkers this year, and we think that the UK should finish within the top 20 this year.
