Tyson Fury v Francesco Pianeta Betting Preview
- Date: 18th August
- Time: Approximately 7.45pm
- Venue: Windsor Park, Belfast
- Channel: BT Sport
Tyson Fury continues his comeback on Saturday against Italian born Francesco Pianeta. Fury will be looking for another comfortable victory and that his search for a fight against Deontay Wilder or Anthony Joshua gains momentum.
His 33 year old opponent represents a more challenging test than Fury’s previous fight which descended into a farce. Pianeta, who fights out of Germany, shared the ring with Wladimir Klitschko in a World Heavyweight Title bout in 2004, but has since suffered disappointing results including a loss against a novice fighter last time out. At 6’5” Pianeta is a seasoned heavyweight and only gives Fury a four inch advantage.
Frank Warren, Fury’s promoter said, “The Seferi fight is history and Pianeta is a far better operator than him. His level of opposition tells you that.”
“Tyson needs rounds under his belt before moving on to the next level and this fight will make him work for his win. I’m sure Pianeta will get into that ring desperate to upset Tyson.”

- Last fight- Sefer Seferi. Won by retirement.

- Last fight: Peter Milos. Lost by Unanimous Decision.
Francesco Pianeta is a vast improvement on Sefer Seferi but is not in the same league as a fit Tyson Fury. One thing we know about the Gypsy King is that he has always delivered and this should be no different. Fury will be looking for some rounds under his belt so an early stoppage may not be the place to look but there is huge value in Unibet’s offer of 11/8 for Fury to win in rounds 1-5. A nice outside bet to look out for is SkyBet’s 10/1 request a bet for Pianeta’s corner to throw in the towel.
