Ahead of an eagerly anticipated heavyweight clash between Tyson Fury and Dillian Whyte this Saturday, the team at ThePuntersPage decided to take a look at how much the Gypsy King has made per punch over his last 10 fights.

We found that the Morecambe man has earned over £114,057.20 per punch in his last 10 fights, and a staggering £122,839,600.00 in total based on TV rights and promoter fees.

Fury’s popularity has increased since his two victories over Deontay Wilder and his public revelations about his mental health. Meanwhile, Whyte’s only defeat came against Anthony Joshua, with the former having long been in line for a shot at the Heavyweight titles. This is expected to be a blockbuster event, with many pundits predicting an early finish either way, given both fighters’ explosive power.

It’s been a remarkable journey for both men – Fury’s comeback has been praised as he climbed his way back to the top after problems involving drugs and alcohol. Whyte has had to wait a long time, but the London man will surely be motivated and has interestingly skipped most of the media press conferences ahead of this battle.

However, our focus is back on Fury, with the Lineal Heavyweight Champion back in action in his own country for the first time since 2018. Below, we've described what each punch has landed him.

    Earnings: £13,890,250.00

A tune-up fight that was supposed to get Fury ready for his rematch with Deontay Wilder, the Gypsy King had to work harder than he may have expected after suffering a nasty cut to the eye early on. Here, Fury managed to land the highest number of punches from any of the fights on this list.

6) Wladimir Klitschko (28/11/2015)

  • List Icon

    Earnings: £7,718,875.00

  • List Icon

    Punches landed: 97

  • List Icon

    Earnings per punch: £79,576.03

It might be surprising to see this fight so far down on the list when Fury went to Germany and took all the belts from Klitschko. It was a masterclass on the night from Fury, and he’s certainly earned his money since.

5) Derek Chisora (29/11/2014)

  • List Icon

    Earnings: £12,000,000.00

  • List Icon

    Punches landed: 127

  • List Icon

    Earnings per punch: £94,488.19

In his rematch with Derek Chisora in 2014, the earnings Fury won from this fight were the highest made per punch prior to becoming Heavyweight Champion. Fury was dominant on the night before Chisora was retired in the corner.

4) Deontay Wilder 1 (01/12/2018)

  • List Icon

    Earnings: £12,377,875.00

  • List Icon

    Punches landed: 84

  • List Icon

    Earnings per punch: £147,355.65

Many said it was too soon for Fury to take this fight, and they may have been proven right when he was knocked down in the 12th round. However, he picked himself off the canvas to arguably emerge as the winner, but had to settle for a draw on this occasion.

3) Deontay Wilder 3 (09/10/2021)

  • List Icon

    Earnings: £30,295,000.00

  • List Icon

    Punches landed: 150

  • List Icon

    Earnings per punch: £201,966.67

The end of the trilogy, Fury beat Wilder convincingly in the rematch and this bout was no different, although he did have to pick himself off the canvas yet again. This fight saw the the most punches landed on Wilder from the three fights between the two.

2) Tom Schwarz (15/06/2019)

  • List Icon

    Earnings: £7,957,600.00

  • List Icon

    Punches landed: 37

  • List Icon

    Earnings per punch: £215,070.27

A surprise entry in the number two spot, but, ultimately, a pay-per-view event which didn’t impress, this was probably the easiest payday of Fury’s career, with the latter having to land only 37 punches to put Schwarz away.

1) Deontay Wilder (22/02/2020)

  • List Icon

    Earnings: £31,600,000.00

  • List Icon

    Punches landed: 135

  • List Icon

    Earnings per punch: £234,074.07

Deontay Wilder, unsurprisingly, makes it to the top spot on this list. Fury completed the comeback from his troubles in style during this fight, as he went on to defeat the previously unbeaten Wilder for the WBC belt by TKO.
