talkSPORT BET Quick Facts
- New sportsbook with new ideas
- Decent range of sports provided
- Impressive array of markets for EPL and others
- No betting app
- Lack of payment methods
- Poor welcome offer
- Limited live streaming
We’ve all heard talkSPORT on our radios, but now the company have launched its own sports betting site, talkSPORT BET. The question we need to ask in this review is whether it can make an impact in the market. It is owned by BV Gaming Limited, otherwise known as BetVictor, so it does have strong betting background to lean on.
But, there are challenges as a new sportsbook to match the best in the business that already have a loyal following and entrenched systems of success. We’ll now see whether talkSPORT is a little bit more than just talk!
Registration process 5/5
- Quick and easy to complete
- Support readily available
- No financial details are required
We are very pleased to say that we found the process of signing up to talkSPORT BET very straightforward. It follows the same style of registration as BetVictor, which is also easy to use. When you’re registering with a betting site you don’t want to be bogged down by filling out endless forms. With talkSPORT BET, you can enter the site and enter a few details and you’re off and running without even having to place your financial details into the site.
You start by clicking sign up on the front page and you will be presented with this screen. You simply enter your name and date of birth along with your mobile number for verification. All pretty straightforward so far.
Now, you need to enter your address which can be found using your UK postcode. Alternatively, you can fill out this field manually. Once this stage is complete you can advance to the final phase of registration.
At this stage, you just need to enter your email address and then create a unique password for your talkSPORT BET account. You’ll need to tick to agree to the terms and conditions along with deciding whether you want to receive communications from talkSPORT BET.
After that, click to create your account with talkSPORT BET.
One thing that we particularly like about the talksSPORT BET registration process is the ability to seek help from its live chat service. Signing up is easy, but it is good to know that there is help around if you require it.
Overall, talkSPORT BET make registration very simple and we appreciate how smooth the operation is to get started on your betting journey.
Deposits and withdrawals options 3/5
- Limited deposit and withdrawal options
- FastFund withdrawals available
- No deposit/withdrawal fees
- Low deposit and withdrawal minimum payments
talkSPORT BET has a very narrow range of payment methods available for users. You can only use a Visa or Mastercard debit card to enter funds into your account. These methods along with bank tranfers are the only ones available for withdrawals. So, your options are limited when it comes to payment methods.
We should remember that talkSPORT BET is a new betting site so there is time for it to expand its range of options, but this needs to happen sooner rather than later. As it uses BetVictor’s engine and is part of the same company, we should expect this to change to offer the same variety of payment methods that are available on the other operator.
talkSPORT BET only allows you to use one currency, which is Pounds Sterling. This is not surprising considering that the betting site is only available for UK residents. The minimum deposit and withdrawal is pleasing to see, allowing customers to make small deposits and withdrawals if they like, while there is enough scope for high-rollers to make substantial deposits and withdrawals with a limit of £30,000.
One feature that stands out is FastFund Withdrawals. This allows your withdrawal to be expedited into your account using a Visa Debit card. You can withdraw a maximum of £2,500 through this method and it can be transferred into your account within 30 minutes.
We’ll now look through the process of depositing funds, which again we’re pleased to say is very straightforward.
You will find the deposit button at the top of the talkSPORT BET betting site. All you do is click it and you will be presented with the first step of depositing funds.
First, you need to select the method and enter your long card number. Your name will also be automatically inserted into the name on card section based on the information you provided when registering with talkSPORT BET.
All the basic details are then required about your Visa/Mastercard Debit card before you enter the amount that you wish to place into your account. You then need to tick the box to confirm your chosen payment method and your account.
Then simply click the deposit button and the funds will be transferred immediately into your talkSPORT BET account.
Now to withdraw your funds.
It starts again at the top of the page, but this time you click your profile. You will be presented with a screen of options, but the withdraw feature is again easily visible.
Click the withdraw button to begin the process of removing funds from your account.
The only difference this time is that a bank transfer will be available. The process for using your card follows the same steps as you did to deposit, but instead you click withdraw at the bottom of the page. Now we’ll show you the steps for the bank transfer.
You’ll first be asked to choose the bank country and then the currency of your withdrawal.
You then enter your bank details, starting with the name of your bank and your name.
You then fill out all the necessary financial information and your withdrawal amount before clicking the button at the bottom.
We found the whole process for depositing and withdrawing funds to be very simple. The fact that there are not many payment methods available is a drawback for users that wish to use e-wallets, for example. However, the speed of the process is excellent, allowing you to get up and running with ease. Hopefully, our review of the steps necessary will make it just as easy for you.
Welcome Offer 2/5
In my review of talkSPORT BET, I accessed the betting site and was offered a bonus for signing up. By betting £40 on the sportsbook at odds of 2.00 or greater, I was able to claim free-bet bonus funds of £40.
When I first reviewed talkSPORT BET they had a welcome offer of up to £20 but since then they have upgraded their offer to up to £40!
- 18+ New customers only. Opt in & bet via mobile up to £40 (min. £20) on any football market at odds of 2.00+, in 7 days. Get up to £40 in free bets on selected markets. Bonuses expire in 7 days. Card payments only. T&Cs apply. begambleaware.org | Please gamble responsibly.
Sportsbook promotions 2/5
- Free bets available for football and horse racing
- Price specials available for football and racing
- Limited promotions for other sports
talkSPORT BET has a limited range of specials for betting on horse racing and football. It does provide free bet clubs for betting on football accas for results and the correct score, where you can secure a £5 bet after making five separate wagers.
Its horse racing promotions include a good option for horses that fail to give ‘A Run For Their Money and refuse or whip around at the start, fail to come out or lose all chance at the stalls’ providing a full refund on stakes. talkSPORT BET also vows to provide the best odds for horse racing, offering the highest price possible for bettors.
There are football specials available that include enhanced odds for accas and other specials. However, it is slim pickings if you’re looking for promotions for sports outside of football and horse racing with a few boosted odds available for select sports. You’ll find a wider range of promotions on other betting sites.
We would like to see more offers available across the board. The welcome offer on the sportsbook is not great as you’re only getting £30 bonus from a deposit of £10. You will find better value elsewhere. This should be addressed in the future.
talkSPORT BET does not have VIP programme or loyalty service. You can get free bets by opting-in on their Acca and Correct Score Clubs, but there is no distinguishing programme yet. Other sportsbooks do not offer this service either, so talkSPORT BET are not alone, but this could be an area that they can target in the future to improve its overall product.
Pre-match Offer 4/5
- Vast array of betting markets for football
- Odds available in fractional, decimal and American
- Statistics provided to aid as a betting tool
talkSPORT BET has numerous sports to bet on across its sportsbook. You can find as many as 26 sports available, including Australian Rules and Handball among other niche options. There is always sporting action going on somewhere in the world and talkSPORT BET ensures that you are catered for with a good number of betting markets available for each one.
Football has the best number of pre-match markets available as we counted 136 for one Premier League game before it began. These include full-time result, handicaps, correct score, goals, corners, bookings and of course those all-important bet builders.
You will find decent options for other leagues, but the more notable competitions will always have more. This is commonplace across all sports, such as tennis, golf, cricket, American Football, basketball and others.
There are a great number of outrights available across the board for all major competitions. You will find the most outrights available for major football competitions, which include odds for the winner, relegation, top four, top six, top scorer among others. This is also the case for sports specials where you will find odds for manager and transfer specials.
talkSPORT BET has a small selection of eSports available to bet on. It does not have a wide range of leagues, but there is enough to satisfy bettors. talkSPORT BET provides betting options for games on DOTA2, League of Legends, Counter Strike and King of Glory.
You will not find outright options, but there is a decent sampling of markets available to bet on leagues around the world. If you’re after specific eSports betting options, you may be best suited looking elsewhere, but for a basic product talkSPORT BET performs a solid job.
Other Specials (politics, weather, celebrities, etc.)
talkSPORT BET has a good range of options for specials betting on entertainment and politics. It has a great array of betting markets available for UK politics, ranging from the winner of the next General Election to the leaders of both major political parties.
Entertainment options are also well catered for by providing markets for BBC Sports Personality of the Year and Christmas Number One during the time of our review.
Cashout & Bet Builder
talkSPORT BET does offer a cash-outs and bet builders for select sports and markets. Cashouts are a vital tool of all bettors to save us from potential pitfalls late in games. It’s good to see that talkSPORT BET provides cash-out options that are either for a full amount, or gives you the option to partly cash-out your wager.
Bear in mind that not all markets will allow you to cash-out, so double check before you place your bet. Bet builders are available for betting on football, but this feature is not yet available for betting on other sports such as American football and basketball.
TalkSPORT BET has a good range of pre-match betting options across the board for betting on football. It does need a lot of work elsewhere on other sports. But, your footballing needs are taken care of, especially with the excellent bet builder feature that is one of the best.
Live Offer 4/5
- Extensive sports available
- Good range of markets
- Lack of streaming available
There is a wide range of sports and several markets available for live betting. You will find more markets available on the popular sports such as football and tennis, but the fact that there are options for niche sports is good element of the sportsbook. There is no live streaming for football or other sports other than horse racing, which is a drawback. However, there are graphics to provide a display of the action, giving you a picture of what is occurring on the field. In-game statistics are also on hand to aid your live betting.
talkSPORT BET has a solid range of live betting options. You’re not going to get blown away by options outside of football wagers. But, it matches its competitors for football betting, which is good enough for us at the moment.
- Licensed in the UK and Gibraltar
- Stringent security measures
- Extensive responsible gambling protocols
talkSPORT BET are fully licensed to operate in the United Kingdom and are regulated by the Gambling Commission of Great Britain. It is also licensed through the Government of Gibraltar, which allows users to wager on sports in the region.
talkSPORT BET takes security extremely seriously and have the latest SSL encryption software and firewalls to ensure that your personal and financial details are protected. You can also protect your account by enabling two factor authentication (2FA).
There also extensive measures in place to ensure that users are practicing responsible gambling, with deposit limits among other measures available. You can also find links to BeGambleAware and GamStop on the betting site.
Service and customer support 3/5
- Responsive 24/7 Live Chat
- Informative Help Section
- Plenty of methods of support available
talkSPORT BET is excellent when it comes to customer support offering a range of communication channel as well as an extensive help section to potentially solve your own issues. We had a few queries that we were able to resolve by looking at the help section, which has a very useful search engine where we could find the relevant answers quickly.
There are ample means of customer support by selecting the contact us tab on the side of the betting site.
You can request a callback by entering your mobile number and select a time that most convenient for you. We used this ourselves and were greeted by an agent that was informative and polite to help resolve our issue.
The live chat options were responsive, answering our query within a minute. This was not at a peak time, so this may vary depending on when you contact customer support. Our first experience of the day was good, but when we asked another operator about payment methods there was confusion regarding PayPal. However, we did get the correct response very quickly after pointing out that PayPal was indeed not an option. We’ll give talkSPORT BET a pass on this one as the first operator was informative and correct.
We also tested out the customer support team for their response to email. They answered our query within a few hours of our initial email with an informative reply.
|Live Chat||Website||A minute||24/7||3|
|Hotline||Phone Number||N/A||9am – 9pm||4|
|Other||Social Media||Few Hours||24/7||4|
The customer service on the whole was very good outside of one issue. The operators at talkSPORT BET were helpful and informative, answering our queries very quickly.
Design & Usability 4/5
- Same engine and aesthetics as BetVictor
- Easy to use and navigate around the site
- Statistics readily available
You will notice a great deal of similarity between the aesthetics and engine used by talkSPORT BET to BetVictor. It is no surprise considering they’re operated by the same parent company. TalkSPORT BET has all the hallmarks that make BetVictor one of the best betting sites and apps to use. It’s clean and easy to navigate around the site. You should have no problem finding the sport and betting market you want. Depositing and withdrawing funds is a seamless process as we have previously discussed.
We had no technical issues during our review. The betting site was very stable while we were betting and live streaming horse racing. The talkSPORT BET site was responsive, giving us confidence that there would be no issues processing our bets, cash-outs or withdrawals. There is only one language available, English, but this is to be expected considering that it is active in the United Kingdom and Gibraltar.
We love the aesthetics found on talkSPORT BET. It makes the site very easy to use and navigate. You don’t have to look far for your betting markets and odds as they are all pretty much at hand on the side of the screen. It is a very good effort from the off from the operator.
- No mobile app
- Impressive browser version
- Neat aesthetics for browser site
There was no betting app available for talkSPORT BET at the time of this review on either iOS or Android devices. We hope that this issue is resolved very soon.
Given talkSPORT BET is operated by BV Gaming Limited, we expect that an app will be operational in the future that carries the same quality across both Apple and Android devices as their BetVictor app succeeds in doing.
It does have browser compatibility and displays all the great aesthetics of the website, so there is the chance to be online on your mobile on both Apple and Android devices. It is a solid effort, but we would like to see more from them in this regard.
- Top casino product
- Good variety of casino games
- Solid welcome offer available
talkSPORT BET has a solid casino offering that provides a great variety of casino games and promotions for new and existing customers. There is a slot game with almost every feature you can think of with big prizes to be won, including a £100k Winter Giveaway. If you like live casino games there are an abundance live roulette and blackjack tables.
TalkSPORT BET has a compelling welcome offer for new customers that secures £40 in free bets after betting £10 on the casino. It is a very fair bonus to receive and arguably better than the one offered on the sportsbook!
What Others Are Saying
Punters have been up and down on the service provided by talkSPORT BET in the early days of the sports betting site. It has been praised for the speed of deposits and overall look of the betting site.
However, it also been criticised for the type of betting offers available and limiting customers’ accounts. The customer support did receive positive feedback too. We’ll give talkSPORT BET the benefit of the doubt for now regarding issues considering that they’re still new to the game, but hopefully these are improved soon.

The PuntersPage Final Say 3.4/5
talkSPORT BET is perfect for bettors that are focused on football and horse racing. It provides a great product for football betting with the scope of markets, value of its odds and special features.
However, there are also issues for talkSPORT fBET to deal with in the future to really make ground on the leaders in the sports betting industry. It needs a betting app sooner rather than later and must expand the range of payment methods available for deposits and withdrawals.
Its also needs to improve the value of bonus offers for new customers. talkSPORT BET lacks quality depth beyond its football and horse racing offerings. It is a decent start from the operator, but there is a long way to go before it can break into the mainstream.
