As a relatively new player in the game, easyBet still has some room for improvement, but overall, they’re a good bookie with a lot of potential. Odds value on their sportsbook is not only on par with betting industry leaders, but better. Another major plus is a strong horse racing section. Away from actual betting, the security on the site looks impressive, and so does customer service.
However, there are a few drawbacks. For instance, the welcome offer is yet to take our breath away. The lack of eSports is noticeable, as is a poor football betting section, with limited markets on the biggest games. Nevertheless, there is still a lot to like, and you can take a closer at our analysis in the following easyBet review. Enjoy!

What We Don’t Like About easyBet
-
Football betting section has limited markets
-
Lack of eSports on the sportsbook
- Variety of safe gambling tools
- Up to date SSL Encryption
- Licensed by the UK Gambling Commission
- No concerns to note
Before we get into all the fun stuff, like free bets and sports coverage, we must kick start our easyBet review by looking at security features and licensing. While it may sound boring, both these aspects are crucial when looking for a safe and reliable bookmaker. Here’s what we found out about easyBet.
Let’s start by looking at some of the tools, governing bodies, licences and programs that easyBet are linked with.
-
UK Gambling Commission (License number 39504 belongs to Triplebet Limited)
-
Alderney Gambling Control Commission
-
GamCare
-
GamStop
-
BetBlocker
-
BeGambleAware
-
Gamblers Anonymous
-
Gambling Therapy
-
SSL Encryption (SHA-256)
When looking through the T&Cs on the easyBet website, section 22 reveals that the bookmaker is licensed by the UK Gambling Commission to provide services to customers in the United Kingdom. We were able to dig a little further, and we found that easyBet has a ‘white label’ status. The actual licence holder is a company called Triplebet Limited, that oversees both easyBet and Matchbook.
easyBet is also licensed by the Alderney Gambling Control Commission to provide services to customers outside of Great Britain. The company registration number is 1827.
The bookmaker has valid SSL Encryption, which is a big tick in the safety box. Nonetheless, don’t forget that email communication with easyBet is not encrypted, so be careful when contacting the customer service team.
When it comes to safe gambling, easyBet offer several tools for customers. Gross deposit limits and net deposit limits are both available, as is self-exclusion. The minimum self-exclusion period is six months, and there is no maximum limit. It’s also good to see a ‘Safer Gambling’ tab right at the top of the website. That is a big plus in our easyBet bookmaker review.
Regarding complaints, customers can contact the easyBet team via live chat or email, and the bookmaker vows to have all complaints resolved within three months.
- Very simple process on both app and website
- Time from start to finish was less than 5 minutes
- Safe gambling email after registration was a nice touch
- Promo code box at the bottom is easy to miss
Time for one of the key parts of our easyBet review – the registration process. Customers can create an account using the easyBet app or their online betting site. The entire process takes less than five minutes, and it also allows you to enter your promo code for the welcome offer.
Here, we guide you through the entire process.
We have been able to break down the entire registration process into four easy and digestible steps. Having opened a plethora of betting accounts over the years, we can confidently say in this easyBet review that the entire process incredibly simple.
One thing we loved about signing up with easyBet was the lack of email of text verification. We simply entered all the required information, and we were off to the races. One nice touch was having an email from easyBet about safe gambling. This arrived minutes after creating our account.
KYC Account Verification
When it comes to creating betting accounts in the United Kingdom, Know Your Customer (KYC) has become a mandatory part of the process. While it may seem like a bit of a ballache, it is designed to improve safe gambling and that is something we simply can’t argue against.
Before we continue with our easyBet review, we must come clean and say that our account did not flag for KYC verification. This is because our name, address and phone number were already known to the UK Gambling Commission.
However, if this is your first betting account in the UK, expect to go through the verification process. Below, we highlight some of the things that may be required:
Something like a bank statement, utility bill or official correspondence from a local authority normally suffices.
Typically, a passport or a driving license will be enough.
A bank statement should do the job here. Alternatively, you could look at proof of available assets or saved funds.

easyBet Sign-Up Offer
- Simple qualifying procedure
- Promo code is easy to find
- Straightforward wagering requirements
- There are plenty other bookmakers with better welcome offers
- Participating in the welcome offer excludes customers from any 0% commission promotions
easyBet have got a standard Bet £20 and Get £20 welcome offer available for new customers. To take advantage, punters must sign up to easyBet using the promo code EB20 and then place two separate qualifying bets on at least two different events.
The odds for the qualifying bets must be at least 1/1, and those wagers can be placed on singles, multiples and bet builders.
Once you are qualified for the welcome offer, you will receive a £5 free bet on football, a £5 free bet on horse racing, a £5 free bet on multiples and an additional £5 free bet on any market. All these free bets expire within seven days.
The terms and conditions on the easyBet website don’t specify whether customers need to use a specific payment method to qualify, which suggests there are no restrictions.
Standard offer – no fireworks
Seb Sternik: This is a pretty bog-standard welcome offer from easyBet. You can certainly find other bookmakers that offer more value, but it’s not the worst thing we’ve ever seen either. A total of £20 in free bets isn’t much, but at least all the terms and conditions are relatively straightforward, meaning you shouldn’t have many problems when looking to qualify for the promotion.
easyBet Other Promotions
We’re not just having a look at one promotion in this easyBet review… we’re going through them all. Below, is a rundown of the other available promotions for customers, including a tasty Premier League offer.
Customers can get 2 x £5 bet builder free bets for the Premier League weekend when they wager £20 or more on a bet builder for the 12:30 Saturday game. The qualifying bet must be at 2/1 odds or greater, and the minimum number of legs is four. It is important to note that if there is no 12:30 Saturday game in the Premier League, the promotion is based on the first fixture in the competition in that given weekend. Midweek games don’t count towards the promotion. Most importantly, customers must opt in to the offer, otherwise their qualifying bet builder will not be eligible for the free bet.
easyBet punters can get a £10 free bet for Cheltenham when they place and settle £30 or more in horse racing bets from Monday to Sunday each week. Qualifying bets must consist of a minimum of 1 x £10 back bet and a 1 x £10 multiple. On top of that, all bets must be placed at odds of at least 1/1. The maximum free bet that can be won each week is £10, and £70 in total for the promotion. Free bets can only be used on the Cheltenham Festival, and they will expire at the end of the event if unused.
In this promotion, customers can get their money back as a free bet when their backed golfer has the outright lead at the end of any round yet fails to win an event. Opt in is required, while the money back as a free bet is capped at £100.
easyBet VIP and Loyalty Programme
One of the few negatives during this easyBet review is the lack of a VIP or loyalty programme. Any kind of bonus scheme or rewards package would really spice things up for customers – especially the loyal ones.
Try reaching out
Seb Sternik: The lack of a VIP programme does not necessarily mean that the bookies does not reward its high rollers. If you are a customer that deposits more funds than your average bettor, you may want to contact customer support and see if they have any provisions for their top punters.
- Wide range of payment methods
- Minimum deposit starts from an industry-standard of £10
- Apple Pay and Google Pay both accepted
- Maximum deposit amounts are not specified

From the available information, we can see that minimum deposits across the various payment methods is £10 – an industry standard. There are some bookmakers that offer lower deposit limits, and you may want to consider that, depending on how much you’re planning to bet with.
It is great to see that Apple Pay and Google Pay are both available payment options, with both giving customers an easy way of depositing funds through their mobile devices.
When it comes to maximum deposits, we were unable to find the information. We can, however, say that customers are able to set their own deposit limits. For instance, easyBet offers a 30-day rolling Net Deposit limit of £5,000.
There is also a Gross Deposit Limit. This type of tool will cap the total you can deposit, without taking into consideration the amount you have withdrawn. The time and the actual amounts are set by the customer.
How to Deposit Funds to easyBet – My Experience
How to Withdraw Funds from easyBet – My Experience
- Bookmaker is focused on the most popular sports
- Minimum stakes are £0.10
- Excellent horse racing section
- Limited selection of sports
- No eSports markets on the platform
- Limited focus on football markets
Let’s jump straight into our easyBet sportsbook review! We can start by saying that if the easyBet sportsbook was an ice cream, it would be vanilla flavoured. The platform has a limited number of sports, with the bookie sticking to the most popular ones such as football, horse racing and tennis.
If you are determined to bet on squash, then you have come to the wrong place. However, if you are a punter that loves betting on mainstream sports, this could be a great option. One of the great benefits is that the sportsbook isn’t cluttered with niche events, allowing you to concentrate on the big sports.
Minimum stakes on easyBet are £0.10, which tends to be the industry standard. There are alternative options if you’re looking for lower stakes, with both Ladbrokes and Coral allowing customers to bet from just £0.01.
Before downloading the easyBet app, we had a look at some of the comments in the App Store. A smattering of people criticised the lack of football markets, which led us to do some investigating.
From what we can see, the criticisms are warranted. We checked out the available markets for a high-profile Premier League fixture around eight hours before kick-off, and we couldn’t see any single markets for corners, cards or anytime goalscorers, just to name a few. Those markets are available in the bet builder feature, though if you fancied backing a certain player to pick up a booking, you wouldn’t be able to make a single bet. That must be a thumbs down in our easyBet sportsbook review.
When it comes to choice, the bookie covers all the major competitions such as the Premier League, La Liga, Serie A and the Champions League. There are also less known leagues, such as the Ethiopia Premier League and the Venezuela Primera Division. Spoilt for choice.
The horse racing section is very strong. In the past, we have covered bookmakers who had a horse racing section but didn’t have any markets for UK racing. That’s certainly not the case here.
easyBet have a solid platform for racing, offering odds on races from the UK, South Africa, USA and Australia. There is also an Ante Post section, with markets on all the biggest upcoming meetings.
Another feature we like, is a drop-down information box when you press on a specific selection. Customers are provided with form, ratings, jockey, trainer, owner, weight, age and even analyst comments.
At the time of writing our easyBet review, we weren’t exactly blessed with major tennis events. Nevertheless, market availability on tennis matches was poor.
When checking out a live ATP Dubai match, we only had a handful of markets to choose from. We couldn’t bet on who would win the next point, game or set. No markets on aces either. To top it all off, there is no livestreaming.
There are no markets for eSports on easyBet. Disappointing if you like that kind of thing, but unnoticeable if you’re only looking to bet on the big mainstream sports.
easyBet have a TV Specials and Politics sections on their sportsbook. Customers are not spoilt for choice though, with only three markets available across both sections at the time of writing. TV Specials have an outright market on Eurovision, while Politics has two election markets – one for the UK and the other for the US. Not much to get excited about.
- Excellent odds value across major sports
- Offer more value than bet365 and BetMGM on selected markets
- Consistent odds value across variety of sports
- No concerns to report
When putting together our easyBet review, we noticed that many customers praised the bookie for the quality of their odds. We wanted to put that claim to the test. Below, we have compared easyBet with bet365 and BetMGM, taking a closer look at the betting overrounds for three random markets across three random sports. Here are the results:
| Market | easyBet Overround | bet365 Overround | BetMGM |
|---|---|---|---|
| Football: Man City vs Newcastle | 100.37% | 106.19% | 104.86% |
| Darts: Jonny Clayton vs Gerwyn Price | 101.07% | 104.76% | 107.46% |
| Cricket T20: Afghanistan vs Canada | 100.69% | 105.38% | 106.67% |
Well, what do you think? Quite striking, isn’t it! easyBet have outperformed their two rivals… and they’ve done it by some distance.
Whether it was football, darts or cricket, easyBet were by far the best bookies when it came to overrounds. Anyone who comes close to a betting giant like bet365 deserves their flowers, and we can say that easyBet certainly deserve an entire bouquet.
While the availability of markets might not be great, easyBet has certainly came back strong in the odds value department.
Just like most modern online bookmakers, easyBet has several betting features that are aimed at improving the betting experience for their customers. We decided to have a closer look at these features as part of our easyBet review.
easyBet Live Betting
- Live betting is available on the platform
- Selected sports available
- Limited market availability
easyBet does have an in-play betting section, but we don’t think it will be winning rewards anytime soon. Only selected sports are available for live betting, which typically includes football, tennis and cricket. Other sports, such as snooker and basketball, also make appearances on the in-play section.
When it comes to markets, there’s not a lot choice. Market availability depends on the prominence of the event, but even top-tier football matches don’t come with much choice, bar the standard BTTS, handicaps, correct score and total goals.
When you compare this to some of the best online bookies in the UK such as bet365, William Hill, Coral or Betfred, you can see that easyBet are still some way behind in this area.
easyBet Cash Out
- Cash out option is available with easyBet
- Cash out is typically available when betting on major sports/markets
- Lack of partial or auto-cash out options
easyBet does offer a cash out option on selected bets and sports, allowing customers to settle their bets early and take a portion of their winnings before the event ends.
The cash out function can be found in the bet slip, but because the bookie operates as a betting exchange, the process may differ somewhat to other bookmakers. Customers may be offsetting their original bets with another player’s offer, rather than a traditional cash out. Nevertheless, this is a great feature that provides customers with an extra tool in their pursuit of bashing the bookies.
easyBet Bet Builder
- Bet Builders and Multiples are available
- Easy to use on both website and app
- Some markets available in Bet Builders are not available as single bets
Customers wagering on easyBet can take advantage of the Bet Builder feature. This allows players to combine multiple selections from the same game into one personalised betslip.
One of the things we noticed while putting together our easyBet review was that certain bets available in the bet builder feature are now available as single bets. When it comes to football, for example, this concerns cards and corner betting.
easyBet also supports multiples, which are similar to bet builders but are spread across different sporting events. This allows players to attract greater odds and reach higher potential returns.
Some bookmakers offer bet builder promotions, and easyBet are one of them. Customers can get 2 x £5 bet builder free bets for the Premier League weekend when they wager £20 or more on a bet builder for the 12:30 Saturday game. Full details can be found in the promotions section of our easyBet review.
- Live chat response time is excellent
- Customer service team was friendly and helpful
- Wide range of ways to get in touch
- Website says phone callbacks are possible, but in fact they are very rare and done as a last resort
During the production of our easyBet review, we have reached out via live chat and email to settle a handful of queries. The customer service team have been great when it came to handling our questions, while the response times have been rapid to say the least.
The only negative we can mention concerns the phone option. The easyBet website tells customers they can request a callback in the live chat, and we were looking forward to testing the waters.
We tried this option, though we were ultimately turned down by the operator who said: “While our team does occasionally make outbound calls, these are only initiated internally by our departments if it is absolutely necessary to resolve a specific issue. Because of this, we are unfortunately unable to arrange a callback upon request. However, I would be more than happy to help you right here. Please let me know what you need assistance with, and I will do my best to get it sorted for you.”
| Customer Service | Details | Duration | Availability |
|---|---|---|---|
| Live Chat | Can be found with the live chat icon on the homepage | You can be chatting with an operator in a matter of 30 seconds. | Live chat is available 24/7 |
| [email protected] | We had a response to our question within 10 minutes of sending our email. | Customers can send emails 24/7 | |
| Phone | Ask for a callback using the live chat | This option is only used when an issue cannot be resolved via the live chat | Requests for callback are rare. |
| Quality of customer service | Rapid response time on live chat and email. Staff were friendly, high-skilled and helpful. |
- Clean design makes the app easy to use
- Seamless navigation between sports
- Download and logging in process was very smooth
- No issues to report
One of the first things we did during the production of this easyBet review was to download the app and see how it performed. Due to its lightweight nature, the easyBet app was fast, clean, and incredibly easy to use. Every feature and option that you have on the website was also available on the mobile app, including Bet Builder and livestreaming for horse racing. Moving between different sports, markets and pages on the app was seamless, leaving us with nothing but praise.
