Less than a day after watching Rangers' 1-1 draw with Aberdeen, Paddy Power have paid out on Celtic winning the Scottish Premier League.
Paddy Power Pay Out Early On Celtic Winning The SPL
Round 1 of the SPL games kicked off this weekend and on Saturday Celtic eased to a 3-1 victory at home to Livingston with goals from Tom Rogic, Odsonne Edouard and an Olivier Ntcham penalty whilst their closest challengers to the league title last season fought out a 1-1 draw at Pittodrie, Alfredo Morelos saw red early on but a James Tavernier penalty saw them take the lead and hold that lead until before Bruce Anderson snatched an equaliser right at the end for Aberdeen.
Celtic with the fire power of Rogic, Dembele and Edouard may be even more difficult to stop than last season if they can carry on how they have started, by scoring a fair amount of goals.
Steven Gerrard and co looked good against Aberdeen even with only 10 men and Aberdeen found it difficult to create anything at all. I think Gerrard can be pleased with what he saw from his side but must have been left frustrated at the final whistle.
Celtic travel to Hearts next who beat Hamilton in convincing fashion winning 4-1 so Celtic could be in for a tough time against a side who beat them 4-0 at Tynecastle last Christmas. Rangers host newly promoted St Mirren at Ibrox who have made a positive start beating Dundee 2-1, whilst Aberdeen travel to Dundee with both teams in search for a win to kickstart their season.
We are only one game in and Steven Gerrard and his men would have more than enough time to catch Celtic but Paddy Power think it is already done and dusted having paid out on Celtic winning the SPL Title. Celtic have currently gone to 1/12* whilst Rangers are 8/1* followed by Aberdeen who are 28/1* to take the crown away from Celtic.
