Introduction

RedZoneSports was only founded recently in 2016. Does this  mean that you are better off taking your business to a more established sportsbook? Or, does the operator still manage to compete with the big boys, despite its young age? All of these questions and much more will be answered in our in-depth RedZoneSports sportsbook review below.

One of the things that can put players off trying out a new UK sportsbook is the registration process.

Fortunately, when we tested out the RedZoneSports sign-up procedure, we found it to be a quick and very user-friendly experience. It consists of three basic steps, which each take just a matter of minutes to complete. After this, players can begin betting to their hearts' content!

The first thing you need to do is locate the ‘JOIN’ icon, which can always be found on the top right of your screen, regardless of where you navigate on the site. Clicking this will bring you to the first stage of the sign-up process. Here, you must enter your First Name and Last Name, as they appear on your passport/ID, as well as your Birth Date and Email.

Registration

Hit ‘Next’ and you will be prompted to input your Mobile Number, Post Code and Address. Again, submit the form and then complete the final stage of the sign-up.

Registration

On this page you must select a User Name, Password, Odds Style and Currency. Additionally, a daily, weekly or monthly deposit limit can be set by the player, showcasing the operator’s commitment to safe gambling.

Overall, RedZoneSports’ registration is extremely straightforward. Each of the three steps is streamlined and easy to follow, making it simple for players to start playing as soon as possible.

Deposits And Withdrawals Options

Some popular deposit methods are missing

Offering players a wide range of payment methods is a key ingredient in a top UK betting site. While RedZoneSports does provide some choice, it is missing several prominent banking options.

Visa and Mastercard were the deposit methods available during our review, which is good news for those who prefer to use debit cards when funding their sportsbook account. However, players who wish to use an e-wallet, such as PayPal, NETELLER or Skrill, could be left disappointed by RedZoneSports’ lack of choice.

The sportsbook also does not support any cryptocurrency payments; it would also be good to see them add paysafecard as an option in the future.

In terms of payment speed, some improvement is required. Although deposits are usually processed immediately, withdrawals are not. A wait of 48 hours for processing and then a further delay of 3-5 days can be expected before players receive their winnings via Trustly.

The minimum RedZoneSports deposit and withdrawal amounts with debit cards are £10 and £20 respectively, while the maximum amount you can deposit stands at £20,000. Whilst some fees may be incurred depending on how much you deposit or withdraw, the bookie will always inform you before making any charges.

Deposits and Withdrawals Options

One thing we did appreciate was that the status of any pending payments could be easily checked in the Transaction History tab of a user’s account.

Overall, although it does do some things well, the operator has room for improvement in its payments methods and features.

Welcome Offer

Operator has had great sign-up bonuses in the past

During the time of our review, there was no welcome offer available from RedZoneSports.

While this is obviously a slight let down, in the past, the operator has treated new players to a range of fine rewards. This has included free bets, deposit boosts and more.

We will update this space as soon as a new RedZoneSports welcome offer is announced, so be sure to check back regularly.

Sportsbook Promotions

    VIP programme is invite-only

RedZoneSports’ approach to promotions is an interesting one. Alongside several long-running deals, they also offer weekly rewards to players on a personalised basis.

These bonuses can include free bets, cashback or deposit bonuses. We really enjoyed checking which rewards had been sent to us each week during our testing period. In order to stay up-to-date with all of these offers, we recommend opting in to receive email updates from the bookmaker.

Meanwhile, there were also several ongoing promotions at the time of writing this review. The most popular of these is Win in the First 5. To opt in to this deal, all you need to do is place a bet of the home or away team in one of the chosen fixtures, located on the promotion’s dedicated page.

RedZoneSports Promotions

If your chosen team scores first in the opening five minutes, your bet will be paid out, regardless of the final result.

The only thing lacking in the promotions department is a public VIP scheme. Although RedZoneSports will contact their most loyal customers for extra rewards, it would be good to open up a points based system as many other operators do.

Pre-match Offer

Pre-match Offer

Despite being a fairly new bookmaker, RedZoneSports’ pre-match offer is still strong enough to compete with some of the industry’s big hitters.

In total, the operator boasts just shy of 30 different betting markets with all manner of sports accounted for. From football and tennis to gaelic hurling and volleyball, RedZoneSports has you covered, no matter how niche the market.

Upon visiting the bookie’s site, it won’t take you long to notice the RedZoneSports specialises in American Sports betting, with the NFL, basketball and others taking precedent in its design over other sports.

With such a focus on American sports, punters can enjoy betting using a wide range of markets including Spread, Money Line, Total Points and many, many more.

Other sports’ sub-markets are deep as well. In football (or soccer as they call it on RedZoneSports), for instance, one La Liga game we checked had over 150 different betting possibilities, while the operator’s Premier League selection had even more choice. Even less popular sports have an impressive range of sub-markets.

Taking advantage of this variation could not be easier as well, thanks to the excellent Create YourBet feature. This Bet Builder is intuitive and gives players the autonomy to shape their experience exactly how they want it.

Pre-match Offer

In terms of odds, the sportsbook also scored highly. When we checked the overround — a measure of house edge — of a few markets, they all scored well below 110%. This suggests that RedZoneSports’ odds are competitive.

Another big tick for the operator is its esports provision. This is a market that is gaining increasing popularity, and ambitious sportsbooks can no longer afford to ignore it. During our review, there were 40 different markets open, including League of Legends, Dota 2 and Counter-Strike.

We were also impressed by the non-sporting betting options. Politics is a huge part of the sportsbook’s pre-match selection, while several television specials for both the UK and US market can be explored as well.

In short, although it may not be the most well-known name on the market, RedZoneSports’ pre-match selection is truly world-class.

Live Offer

4/5
  • List Icon

Most markets can be bet on live

  • List Icon

    Dynamic odds

  • List Icon

    No live streaming

Much like its pre-match offering, RedZoneSports’ live selections are deep and varied. The vast majority of markets are available to bet on live, with odds being updated regularly.

For football, markets include Exact Score, Asian Handicap, Next Goalscorer and many more. Most games in Europe’s big five leagues have around 20 in-play markets in total — and often many more.

Although the operator does not host any live streaming, following the action is fairly straightforward. All of the most popular sports have well-presented graphics which update the player on what is happening, while live stats are also available.

Live Offer

In summary, the only real area for improvement for RedZoneSports’ live offering would be the addition of some live streaming services. Other than that, the operator performs very well in this regard.

Security

    SSL encryption is everywhere

    Promotes safer gambling

Here at ThePuntersPage we always make sure to check out a sportsbook’s licensing and security credentials during our review process.

In this area, RedZoneSports performed brilliantly. Like the majority of online bookies, the betting site is operated by a parent company, Argyll Entertainment. The company also owns SportNation, which we also reviewed recently. Argyll Entertainment is fully licensed to operate in the UK by the Gambling Commission.

The UKGC is one of the most scrupulous regulatory bodies in the world, and it would not allow RedZoneSports to operate if it did not adhere to its high standards of fairness and player safety.

Security-wise, things also stood up very well. All transactions on RedZoneSports are protected by industry leading SSL data encryption technology. The operator also takes further steps to keep their players safe, providing users with the option to set deposit limits, as well as offering further information about how to avoid problem gambling.

Service And Customer Support

3/5

Live chat & email support available

  • List Icon

    Not open 24/7

  • List Icon

    No telephone helpline

RedZoneSports’ customer service allows players can get in touch via both live chat and email, though some may be disappointed by the lack of telephone support.

During our review, our main port of call for requesting help was the live chat. This service is open from 10am to 10pm every day. Although not available 24/7, these times should be enough to suit most players’ needs.

Customer Support

When requesting support on the live chat, we were always greeted warmly and we got the impression that no request was too big or small for the customer service staff. As well as being polite, the operatives were also informative, with a response usually arriving within a few minutes.

Their email support was similarly well-manned, although responses were significantly slower, making live chat the preferable option for any quick queries.

We often managed to avoid contacting the operator at all by reading the extensive FAQs section. This page contains information on all manner of issues, such as deposits, registration and account verification.

Customer Support

The FAQs are clearly formatted and broken down into easily digestible answers, meaning it was very easy to find exactly what we were looking for.

Design & Usability

4/5

    Clear colour scheme

    Cool graphics

  • List Icon

    Easy to navigate

Spending time on the RedZoneSports website was a pleasurable experience, thanks to its intuitive design. From navigation and graphics to everything in-between, it was clear that things have been tailored with the user in mind.

The first thing we noticed after loading the site was the clean, navy blue, white and red colour scheme. Apart from being aesthetically pleasing, this colour palette also ensures that all the text and icons are extremely legible.

Another strength of the site is its logical organisation. Headings like ‘Sports’, ‘In-Play’ and ‘Promotions’ are all placed at the top of the screen. Clicking on these brings up a sub-menu full of everything you might associate with that topic, streamlining navigation around the site in an effective way. The search bar further adds to this user-friendly feel.

We were also fans of the charming graphics used by the operator. As well as striking advertisement banners for the latest offers and promotions, RedZoneSports includes more subtle outline graphics for each of its sports markets.

Design & Usability

In all honesty, there is very little about the website design that could be improved. In fact, it is one of the best bookmaker sites we have reviewed in recent times.

Mobile

No mobile app at time of review

New company, so hopefully this will change

Unfortunately, at the time of our review, RedZoneSports did not possess a mobile app.

While this is a shame, it is likely that this could change as the company matures over the coming years. If their betting app is anywhere near as well-designed as their website, we could be in for a considerable treat.

Other Products

    Excellent casino

  • List Icon

Virtual sports is a fine addition

Other Products

RedZoneSports is not just one of the strongest up-and-coming sportsbooks in the UK; it also boasts an impressive casino. Featuring just shy of 100 slots from the award winning software provider, iSoftBet, more traditional casino staples are also available.

Video versions of roulette, blackjack and poker can all be played, and the game library does not stop there either.

RedZoneSports also possesses a fine provision of live casino titles. Evolution Gaming’s games include several variants of roulette and poker, as well as more gimmicky titles like Monopoly.

Other Products

Furthermore, the operator offers players an extensive virtual sports service. Football, greyhounds, trotting are all given the graphical treatment, with players afforded an impressive choice of different markets.

These additional services offered by RedZoneSports did a good job of keeping things fresh during our review.

Summary

3.3/5

At the start of this review, we asked whether RedZoneSports could be reasonably compared with the UK’s best bookmakers. Although the operator is not perfect, it does still manage to hold its own against the big boys. Particular highlights include its extensive pre-match offering, its well-designed website and its courteous customer service. If the operator continues on its current, upwards trajectory, it will not be long until it is a big name player in its own right.

RedZone's’ customer service allows players can get in touch via both live chat and email. Live Chat is available between 10am and 10pm.
