- Broad Sportsbook with sufficient football coverage
- Fantastic Casino offering
- Strong emphasis upon responsible gambling
- One long step
- Basic information required
- Simple verification process
When creating an account with Bet UK, new customers are required to complete a quick and easy one-step process in which only basic information is required.
To begin, you’ll need to give your email address before creating a Bet UK username and password.
Once the initial phase is complete, scroll down to ‘Your Details’. Here, you need to confirm your gender, provide your name, and give your date of birth.
The final phase of the registration process is ‘Contact Information’. All you need to provide here is your address and mobile phone number.
To complete the process, confirm your marketing preferences before ticking the terms and conditions box. A click of the ‘Create Account’ button will begin your Bet UK journey.
However, before you can get fully underway, you must verify your account through the four-digit verification code sent to your email address.
Deposits & Withdrawal Options
- Three payment options
- Easy depositing process
- No fees or cryptos
Bet UK allows punters to deposit via three different payment methods: Instant bank transfer, debit card (Visa/Mastercard) and PayPal.
The depositing processes for each method are markedly simple. With bank transfers, you need to select your bank from the drop-down list before confirming how much you want to deposit. Debit card users must fill out the basic financial formalities before adding funds to their account, while PayPal depositors merely need to confirm the amount they want to deposit.
For bank transfers and debit cards, the minimum deposit is £10. For PayPal, it’s £5.
Debit cards and PayPal both boast £35,000 maximum deposits, while bank transfer deposits are ‘limited’ to £10,000.
Regarding withdrawals, customers should expect to see their funds arrive between 1-5 days with debit cards and within 24 hours with PayPal. The minimum you can withdraw is £10.
While there are no fees associated with any of Bet UK’s financial processes, the bookmaker unfortunately doesn’t allow customers to deposit with cryptocurrencies.
To make a deposit with this bookmaker, begin by clicking the distinct ‘Deposit’ icon located on the right-hand side of the homepage.
That will bring up the below page.
As you can see, there are three payment options. We opted to deposit via debit card, which meant we clicked the middle tab.
Then, all we had to do was fill out the basic financial formalities. The bookmaker required us to list the card number, expiry date, security code, and the amount we wished to deposit.
The bookie asked us if we wanted a deposit bonus, but this wasn’t something we were interested in on this occasion. Thus, we clicked the ‘I don’t want a bonus’ box.
After agreeing to the terms and conditions, we clicked the ‘Deposit’ icon at the bottom of the page.
That brought us to one final pop-up, which was merely confirmation. By clicking the blue icon above, the depositing process was complete, and our account had been funded.
We were fortunate enough to win our first bet with this bookmaker, and so we wished to withdraw our winnings.
To begin this process, we clicked the ‘Banking’ icon on the right-hand side of the homepage.
The above screen appeared. As we wanted to take funds out of our account, we selected ‘Withdraw’.
We then had to confirm our method of withdrawal so we, once again, clicked the debit card tab.
We weren’t required to fill out any more financial information, and all the bookie needed from us was to confirm how much we wanted to withdraw.
After doing that, we clicked yet another ‘Withdraw’ button, which then concluded the process. As you can see above, we immediately received confirmation of our transaction.
- Bet £10, Get £30 in Free Bets
- Restricted to what the Free Bets can be used on
Bet UK is providing new customers with £30 in Free Bets.
To qualify for this promotion, punters must stake at least £10 and place a bet with odds of 1/2 (1.5) or greater within a week of their registration. Once your qualifying bet has settled, you will be rewarded with three £10 Free Bets.
A slight downside is that you’re limited as to what you can place these Free Bets on. The £10 bets must be used on accumulators with four or more selections, with each selection boasting odds of 1.3 or greater.
- Myriad of promotions to enjoy – with World Cup covered
- Bet UK ACCA Club – boosts
- No VIP programme
There are quite a few sportsbook promotions for Bet UK to take advantage of, with the bookmaker having made good use of their partnerships with Manchester City and Inter Milan by introducing 10% Profit Boosts on every game involving the two clubs.
Moreover, there are various ways in which punters can claim Free Bets. By staking £15 or more on any horse racing market at odds of evens or greater, customers will earn two £3 Free Bets each week.
Bet UK are also running a promotion in which punters will win a £5 Free Bet to use on any outright outright World Cup market after they stake £10+ on any in-play market.
What’s more, the site’s ACCA Club is a boosted accumulator promotion. With this offer, customers can have five accumulators a week (as long as the selections within the bet are all greater than 1/5 odds) boosted. The more the selections, the greater the boost. For example, treble bets are boosted by 10%, while 7+ fold accas garner 50% boosts. Customers are limited to a £1000 maximum winning per boost.
Unfortunately, Bet UK currently doesn’t offer a VIP or Loyalty programme of any kind for customers.
- Broad sportsbook
- Great odds
- Novelty and esports bettors satisfied
30 sports make up Bet UK’s sportsbook, allowing punters to access a plethora of events, leagues, tournaments, markets, and sub-markets within each sport offered – both niche and popular.
Their football coverage is also broad- for most fixtures, around 400 markets can be utilised. Despite the lack of promotions, there’s nonetheless a multitude of options to browse through.
Punters can take advantage of daily boosted odds and Bet UK’s ‘Packaged Bets’ when betting on football. Here, the bookie supplies ready-made bets for customers who might be unsure what market to target on a selected match.
While their football coverage is impressive, the bookie’s odds are the most crucial element here, and to measure the quality of Bet UK’s margins, we used the odds overround.
The overround is a calculation that combines the total percentage probability of all selections in a match coming true. Naturally, the result of this should come to 100% – however, this does not factor in the profits made by the bookmaker. For this reason, it is widely accepted that any figure below 110% is considered to indicate fair odds.
We picked three games at random from the Champions League, EFL Championship, and EFL League 1 that returned margins of 103.48%, 105.24%, and 105.8% respectively. Thus, we found that Bet UK’s margins are both consistent and fair.
You can choose to display the odds as fractions, decimals, or American, while the minimum stake is 10p and the maximum stake is bet dependent.
Placing a Bet
After making our first deposit with this bookmaker, we wanted to place a football bet. So, we accessed the ‘Football’ tab located on the left-hand side of the homepage.
The most popular markets on this particular day were quite limited, but there were FA Cup matches available. So, we placed a bet on Derby County to beat Torquay United at 2/15. Bold.
After clicking the odds, a pop-up immediately manifested at the bottom of the screen. This was our betslip and we confirmed our stake before clicking ‘Place bet’.
And that was that. Our bet was placed. It took seconds to process, and confirmation of the bet appeared almost instantly.
Bet UK’s esports coverage is impressive. All the popular games and events are covered, with a myriad of global esports tournaments available to bet on. Esports fans can bet on Counter-Strike, Dota 2, League of Legends, StarCraft II, and Rainbow 6 events. However, there are a limited number of sub-markets to bet on.
Be sure to check out our esports betting tips if you want to improve your chances of winning!
There is so much for the novelty bettor to enjoy with Bet UK, with TV and entertainment specials aplenty. For example, you can bet on UK shows such as Strictly Come Dancing and I’m a Celeb. Markets for BBC Sports Personality of the Year are also accessible, along with Swedish TV!
Political markets are also available, though they are limited to British and American events.
Cash Out & Bet Builder
You can take full control of your bets with Bet UK’s Cash Out and Partial Cash Out features and their Bet Builder.
- ‘Instant Betting’ markets
- Basic live coverage
- No livestreaming
Bet UK’s live markets can be accessed through the ‘Live Right Now’ tab. At the time of writing, there were 31 live events available for customers to bet on.
Once you’ve accessed an in-play market, several ‘Instant Betting’ options will appear – essentially, these are bets that will be settled in the immediate future. So, for example, if an ongoing football match is at half-time, Bet UK will offer markets that will be decided between the start of the second half and 60 minutes. These could include the number of goals, shots, corners, and so on in that time frame.
Moreover, punters can utilise the bookie’s bet builder in-play, while their live experience is aided by the presence of updated statistics and a match tracker.
Disappointingly, there is no livestreaming service.
- Licensed by the UKGC
- Strong emphasis on Responsible Gambling
- Account limits & self-assessment test
Bet UK is operated by LeoVegas Gaming PLC who, in turn, are regulated and licensed by the UKGC (UK Gambling Commission).
As bookmakers attempt to raise awareness on Safer Gambling Week, Bet UK has a dedicated page for customers to read that emphasises responsible gambling. Here you can find advice and support, as well as tips and hints for identifying a problem gambler, and external links if you require additional help or support. Advice is also provided on how to keep your gambling under control.
Account limits are also in place, while you can also set Deposit Limits, Loss Limits, Session Limits, and Wagering Limits. Reality Checks, Time-Outs, and Self-Exclusions can also be deployed if necessary. In addition, you can also take a self-assessment test if you wish track your patterns of behaviour when it comes to gambling.
Service & Customer Support
- Two avenues of communication – email & live chat
- Helpful FAQ section
- Inefficient live chat service
You can contact Bet UK via email (firstname.lastname@example.org) and Live Chat. Additionally, the bookmaker presents a comprehensive FAQ section that covers a multitude of potential queries. You’ll find information here regarding deposits and withdrawals, along with your account and the verification process among several other subjects of enquiry.
Nevertheless, if you require additional support even after accessing the FAQs, we recommend you open up a Live Chat session. This can be done by accessing the ‘Help’ tab on the left-hand side of the page. There, a small ‘Chat’ icon will manifest in the bottom right-hand corner. A click of that will begin a session with one of Bet UK’s support agents.
Before you get started, you’re required to fill out the above form. Providing your name and email is optional, but you must leave a short message outlining your query.
We asked the bookmaker about any potential VIP or loyalty programmes it might have. However, we had to wait for some time before we were connected to an agent. We were 10th in the queue to begin, and it took us 20 minutes to connect.
Once an agent had joined the chat, they immediately resolved our query. Their answer was succinct, and they provided everything we needed to know regarding the absence of a VIP programme. After we responded, they kindly asked whether there was anything else they could help us with.
This was a nice touch, but from our end, it was hard to overlook the lengthy wait involved.
Design & Usability
- Minimalistic website
- Technically proficient
- Bet UK’s website is slick and professional, with a blue-and-white colour scheme followed throughout. There’s a distinct simplicity about the site, but this ensures it operates at optimal efficiency and functionality. The technical performance was particularly impressive.
- While the structure is a touch disorderly at times – football events aren’t well segregated, for example – we thought our experience with Bet UK’s website was a user-friendly one.
- On the homepage, casino games are prominent down the centre. To the right, you can access several ‘Account’ tabs, make a quick deposit and contact support. Your bet slip also appears on the right-hand side once you’ve made a selection, which aids the betting process.
- Links to Bet UK’s sportsbook, the bookmaker promotions, and the casino section run down the left-hand side of the homepage. Help and information links are also found here.
While no statistics are available on the site, Bet UK does have a blog, though this is infrequently updated. While a variety of sports are covered, including football, horse racing, golf, and boxing, posts are sporadic.
Both Apple and Android users can enjoy Bet UK’s mobile app, which is available to download via both Google Play and the App Store. The app itself is very well-brought together, facilitating a user-friendly experience for customers who want to bet on the move.
The app’s content isn’t too dissimilar from Bet UK’s website, with the bookmaker’s sports welcome offer available to claim on mobile.
The coherent structure of the app allows punters to access all sports and markets in an instant. All products are accessible, too. We also have to commend what was a fine technical performance all around. However, there were no auto, face, or touch ID login options that are found on many other betting apps.
The bookmaker’s casino offering is vast, giving players plenty of choice.
Games include slots, jackpots, and table games, with live casino options also available.
Regarding promotions, we discussed Bet UK’s casino welcome offer further above in the relevant section. Currently, thought, there are no other casino offers available.
ThePuntersPage Final Say
Considering its recent inception, it’d be unrealistic to expect Bet UK to trump some of the UK’s premier bookmakers. As it stands, the bookie still has some way to go before it manages to earn a place among the elite.
Nevertheless, Bet UK is still a fairly attractive proposition for sports bettors. We were impressed by their football coverage, with a multitude of markets and sub-markets offered for popular fixtures. The odds, meanwhile, are both consistent and fair.
There’s plenty to enjoy with Bet UK if you’re a novelty or esports bettor, while their emphasis on supplying a more than sufficient casino offering has paid off.
We do hold some reservations, however. Firstly, the lack of promotions and offers are a concern, so the bookie might find it hard to retain customers. Also, their customer service could stand to be more efficient.
Overall, Bet UK has shown signs of improvement and has evolved into a decent option for sports bettors. Their football coverage is very good, while casino lovers will undoubtedly be satisfied, too.
Wasn’t sure about this one I’ve tried a fair few bookies but hadn’t heard of it, pleasantly surprised, not my absolute all time fave but worth signing up to – had a good sport/casino balance
