Punter Wins £8K With Incredible 375/1 Bet On Man City 9-0 Mauling

When lower league teams face a Premier League giant, we often predict a hammering but more often than not the contests seem to be closer.

However, on Wednesday evening, Manchester City ran riot as they hammered League One Burton Albion 9-0 in their first leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final.

While most expected City to coast past the Brewers, few expected for it to be so convincing, but City fan Phil (@Hampson84Phil) did and he acted on his instincts placing a £21.80 bet on City winning 9-0 with Kevin De Bruyne scoring the first goal at the odds of 375/1.

Sure enough, De Bruyne headed home the first goal of the game within five minutes. A further eight goals, four of them being scored by Gabriel Jesus, ensured City ran out 9-0 winners with Riyad Mahrez completing the rout in the 83rd minute which saw Phil made a remarkable return winning £8,196.80.

Phil took to Twitter to show his betting slip with the caption “Thank you Kevin for the first goal and thank you Riyad for the last goal.”
