There are three main types of accumulator bonus offers that bookmakers may offer: free bet clubs, accumulator insurance and acca bonuses. Some offer a combination of the three, and there are also plenty of other promotions that can be used on accumulators. This form of betting is very popular with bookmakers, meaning that it is not uncommon to see a welcome bonus happily include accumulators in its options for legible betting markets.

Also important to note is that when it comes to accumulator bonuses, the limits only really come from bookmakers' pockets and imaginations, so you may find some more creative options out there.

With that said, we will be focusing on that trio of most common accumulator promotions, as they make up the vast majority of options out there. We also don’t want to widen our scope to any promotion that could include accumulators, as we feel it’s important to give these sometimes-overlooked options the attention they deserve.

With that in mind, here’s a breakdown of what you can expect – both from the bookmakers we’ve recommended and in general.

Acca Bonus Offers

This can be a touch confusing, because acca bonuses can refer to any promotion that utilises accumulators, as well as being a category unto itself. Here we are referring to the latter. In this instance, an accumulator bonus (or ‘acca bonus' or bonus accumulator) is a form of promotion that allows you to receive an extra bonus on top of your winnings depending on the number of selections you include in your bet. For example, placing a 5-fold accumulator and receiving a 10% bonus should all selections be successful.

So generally, the more selections you add to your accumulator, the bigger the bonus you will receive. Some even go as high as matching your stake 100% up a maximum of several thousands of pounds. Of course, more selections come with more risk, so it's down to you to decide whether it's worth it.

Acca Insurance

Acca insurance is a accumulator betting offer which provides you with some or all of your stake back should you lose your accumulator by a single leg. Usually, they have a minimum amount of legs as well as a maximum amount you can get back. So, for instance, you could have a 5-leg accumulator with a maximum insurance amount of £10. This means that if you bet on a 6-leg accumulator, and lost by one leg on a £10 bet, you would get that amount back.

However, you would also get the same amount in return if you bet £15. If you bet £10 on a 4-leg accumulator, and lost by one leg, you wouldn’t receive any money back because it was below the set criteria.

Another really important thing to note is that the money you get from acca insurance is in every instance we have seen a free bet, rather than cash. Now, with cash, you can do whatever you like: withdraw it or bet with it as you want. A free bet accumulator has completely different terms.

As its name would suggest, you cannot just withdraw this money, but instead must use it to place a bet. The terms upon which the bet can be placed is something to pay very close attention to on the terms and conditions. Furthermore, any winnings from that bet will not include the stake amount. Still, considering it is essentially an additional benefit without much downside, these bonus accumulators still represent terrific value.

Free Bet Club

This promotion is very common in general, but less so specifically with accumulators. Nonetheless, it does exist, so we’ll address it here. A free bet club is essentially a loyalty scheme: if you fulfil the criteria, you get a free bet, however much that much be. It could be that you get your fourth accumulator free, for instance. Or after playing three accumulators, you get a free bet token you can use on all sorts of markets.

The difference between this and regular free bets is that they are a loyalty scheme as opposed to a one-off welcome bonus (as an example). Free bet clubs are usually more general but can include accumulators, while some are solely accumulator focused.

We’ve blasted through the basics on who our favourite bookmakers are for accumulator betting offers, alongside some key stats on what you can expect. However, if you want a little more depth to help you decide, we’re going to go into some more detail here on who those bookmakers are, and whether their promotions would be right for you.

Of course, if you really want to deep dive into what makes these bookmakers so great beyond their accumulator bonuses, we’ll also be linking our in-depth sportsbook reviews of each wherever possible.

While we have done everything we can to ensure that the information here is correct at the time of writing, all betting offers are subject to change. Therefore, you should always check the terms and conditions yourself to make sure you remain updated with what's currently available.

A household name and one of the few bookmakers that can truly claim to span generations, Paddy Power backs up a world class reputation with a varied, high quality site. The most stunning attribute here is the site‘s consistency, which they offer across such a huge array of betting products. Be sure to check out our full Paddy Power review to learn more.

There’s an absolutely massive selection of accumulator betting offer options here, with their “free bet is one leg of a 4+ fold acca or same game multi lets you down” promotion – it may be a bit of a mouthful to say, but rest assured that the quality is strong. This is a really great promotion for those who want an acca bonus for multiple sports, not just a select few.

They don’t get much bigger, or indeed, much better, than bet365. So synonymous with exceptional online betting quality is bet365 that, if you asked a bunch of betting fans to shortlist some of the best the betting world has to offer, we wouldn’t be surprised if every one of them brought them up sooner rather than later. There are far too many things that makes bet365 great for us to cover here, so be sure to read our dedicated bet365 review in order to really get to grips with this industry juggernaut.

There are two key things to know about their Soccer Accumulator Bonus. One is, as the name suggests, that it is limited to the football markets. The other is that a maximum of 70% and an eye-watering cap of 100k make it one of the best value bonuses of its kind. If you’re a fan of football accumulators, then this very well may be the bonus for you.

If there is one way of describing BoyleSports, we would say that it is consistently underrated, although that is slowly changing as their reputation catches up to their quality. This is no doubt in part thanks to an irresistible mixture of old school sensibilities with innovative ideas.

Their All Sport Acca Loyalty Bet is actually a great example of innovation, crafting a coffee shop style loyalty system where you get a stamp for each accumulator you bet, with a fifth £5 accumulator being free. Obviously, this is an ideal bonus for those of you who regularly bet on accumulators, especially if you like making smaller, but multiple, bets.

From its crisp modern design to its awesome selection of markets, we have been massively impressed by 10bet, a bookmaker which seems to improve pretty much every time we visit them. To keep pace with the break-neck speed 10bet keep, there’s no better place to start than our comprehensive 10bet review, where we examine all the things which make this a perfect 10, and a sure-fire hit.

One of the many ways it excels it is with a wide variety of accumulator betting offers, which benefit from providing serious value while remaining simple enough for pretty much anyone to understand. The Up to 50% Acca Boost is a perfect example of this, with a tiered system of percentage bonuses the bigger your bet is, from a 2% boost for trebles, up to the full 50% at 16 folds. For those who value simplicity as well as quality, this is a great choice.

best site for accumulators
(Source: Betiton)

One of the lesser known examples on our list, Betiton have nonetheless impressed us with their slick modern design and the quality of the markets on offer. It’s also worth pointing out that this site is pretty much brand new to the betting scene, having been founded in 2020. With that in mind, we wouldn’t really be surprised if you haven’t heard of them, and if so, the best place to find out more about them is right here in our sparklingly new Betiton review.

The ‘Boostiton' offer is a bet boost similar to what we have seen several times in this article, starting off at 4% with 4-fold bets and going all the way up to 77%. The thing that really impresses us, though, is that the maximum extra winnings stand at a whopping £11,000, which is extremely generous for a relatively new betting site. So, if you’re on the lookout for something fresh, but with the quality and generosity of a household name, Betiton and this accumulator bonus offer might be just about perfect. Additionally, learn more about the Betiton Welcome Offer where new Players can enjoy a free bet of up to £10.

VBET

(Source: Vbet)

Another wonderful example of a betting site that manages to provide cutting-edge modernity but with the type of quality and trustworthiness you can expect from a household name is the rather splendid Vbet, which is every bit as competent as a casino as it is a world class sportsbook.

They are also a very creative bookmaker when it comes to accumulator bonus offers; they actually have two acca insurance options carefully aimed at different users. One provides a 100% free bet refund on accumulator bets on soccer markets between £2 and £50 on a 6-selection minimum. That’s the one we have provided details of, because we had to choose just one, but you can also get 20% back up to £25 under the same circumstances with only a 4-fold option. The former is naturally better if you prefer to go for bigger accumulators anyway.

Betfred

Perhaps it’s the rather classic look and feel of Betfred – you really do get the sense when entering their site that you are heading into the online equivalent of the high street bookmaker experience – but we feel like Betfred do not get the credit they deserve for being a terrific online option. Filled to the brim with very modern variety, we hope to provide them with a little bit more of a spotlight, with the help of our extensive and exclusive Betfred review.

One of the ways in which Betfred excels is with its bonus offerings; indeed, there were 11 to select from at the time of writing, all of which provide consistent quality. Take for instance, the Football Acca Insurance bonus, which provides you with a refund of your stake if your accumulator loses by a single selection. It’s perfect for the cautious football tournament fan. Note: Free bets are valid for 7 days.

As you can see, there are certain conditions that apply to acca bonus offers which vary from bookmaker to bookmaker. For those unsure on exactly what each term means, we will explain below. It goes without saying that you should familiarise yourself with the full T&C’s for each offer before claiming.

Max Bonus (£) – This refers to the largest amount you can receive in bonus winnings.

We mentioned earlier that just because something isn’t exclusively presented as a bonus accumulator, that does not mean that it cannot be an accumulator bonus. Often, bonuses are available on many different markets, and accumulators are often included on that list. Welcome bonuses and free bets in general very commonly include accumulators as an option, both for the qualifying bet and the use of the bonus itself. If not made obvious, this should be made clear in the terms and conditions assuming they are clearly laid out.

There are also a few other examples that we want to pay particular attention to, as we feel they have an especially excellent contribution to the world of accumulators.

Cash Outs

People often think that Cash Outs are not available on accumulators; however, that is often not the case. It does go on a bookmaker by bookmaker basis, but often you do have the choice to close your accumulator before it ends and take your winnings based on the odds at that point.

Famously, a man who put on a £1 accumulator cashed out on a potential £1.2 million win for £223,000, only to be proven right 4 minutes later. Having said that, whether Cash Out is the right call all depends on the bet and the circumstances themselves. Regardless, we are of the opinion that it is always better to have the option.

Do keep in mind, though, that the use of Cash Out can on occasion affect other accumulator betting offers, and may even lead them to be voided. So, check the terms and conditions if this is a concern and if you are still not sure, ask customer service to avoid any disappointment.

Bet Builder

We often talk about the amount of markets available from a bookmaker as a key factor in our recommendations. But in doing so, we don’t want to also overlook Bet Builder, which in theory makes the amount of markets limitless. You can not only create but also request your own bet and allow the bookmaker to present you with odds.

This works so well alongside accumulators because it’s all about giving people the freedom to bet how they want. After all, more options mean more opportunities to place smarter bets.

Edit Acca

In a similar vain to Bet Builder, this is another one that is all about freedom and choice enhancing the online betting experience. Your accumulator is not set in stone, at least not with an increasing number of bookmakers, meaning you can make amends if you change your opinion as time goes on.

The Ladbrokes Edit My Acca feature is a great example of what you can expect specifically, and you can find a full rundown of what it does in our comprehensive guide. In brief, it allows you to revise your bets as best suits you, and can even be used after selected events have started. Of course, every bookmaker sets their own terms and conditions, so do be sure to check them yourself to avoid any confusion, and once again check if this could have any impact on any other promotions you are utilising. Check out our full guide to the best bookies for editing your bets here.

Using an accumulator, of course, depends on the bookmaker in question. However, we can say that in pretty much every example we have looked at – and certainly in those that we recommended – it is made as easy as possible.

What is important to note about the ones we have looked at here is that all these promotions really ask of you is to follow the terms and conditions set. This is generally true whether we are talking about insurance, a free bet club or any percentage-based bonuses.

Take the Betfred acca insurance promotion, for instance. This is automatically used as long as all the criteria set out in the terms and conditions are met. If you have placed an accumulator with 5 or more folds, on the specified competitions, with each leg having odds of 1/3 or greater, and you lose by one bet, you will receive your insurance bonus. Just as a way of tying into a point we made in our previous section, we would like to point out that this is an accumulator betting offer where cashed out legs will not count.

Do note that although usually these promotions do not require any specific action to be taken to opt in, that would not necessarily always be the case. Always read through the terms thoroughly to check if you need to opt in or utilise any codes in order to avoid missing out on accumulator, or indeed any other types of bonuses. We mentioned that you have to follow the terms and conditions a lot, which is why we have provided the table towards the beginning of this article going over key points like minimum legs, odds, maximum amounts and more.

Let’s start with accumulators themselves. Some people aren’t fans of this type of betting because they are, by their very nature, usually long shots and they prefer to take a more measured approach. And that is absolutely fine. However, we think they are one of the best ways to bet when it comes to enhancing your experience with sports.

There’s nothing else that can provide common threads throughout huge tournaments or can make what would be an otherwise low intensity game thrilling. Believe us, when you have the 11th leg of a 12-leg accumulator running on a closely contested friendly, it can suddenly feel like the apex of a major tournament.

On top of that, the long odds do come with huge prizes to back them up, and long odds are the price you pay for such a huge difference in stakes and potential winnings. Also, the idea that some bettors have that they are being more tactical by avoiding accumulators doesn’t quite ring true. Of course, you should do whatever you think is the smartest way for you to bet. If single bets are that, then go for it.

However, the tactical thought that goes into a logical, well-constructed accumulator is as intellectually demanding as any other form of betting. Not only that, but those long odds are the reason that so many bookmakers are willing to be so generous with their bonus accumulator betting offers for this form of betting.

That’s why we think that you get so much amazing choice with this kind of bet and bonus. The popularity of the bonuses depends on their individual merits, but it doesn’t take too much thought to figure out why people would like the idea of larger payouts or their stake returned.

Accumulator bonus offers are a great way of getting more bang for your buck and giving your returns a boost. It goes without saying that you should check each of the available promotions to see which best suits you, depending on the type of bet you are going to place, but we think that each and every one of our recommendations represents great value from a world class bookmaker.

Accumulator bets should always be about enhancing your enjoyment of your favourite sports just as much as they are a tactical decision for smarter betting, and these promotions can do nothing but sweeten the deal in both respects.

An accumulator is a type of bet where you combine several different wagers all on one stake and only gain a return if all of those wagers win. It allows people to potentially win large amounts for low stakes.

In this article, we are discussing accumulator betting offers that are specifically targeted at accumulator users. However, a bonus accumulator is really any bonus which can be used in conjuncture with an accumulator bet.

Well, there’s no real limit to what an accumulator accumulator betting offer can be, but the ones which are most common are acca insurance, acca bonus and acca free bet clubs. In general, acca insurance provides a free bet if you lose by a single leg, an acca bonus adds a percentage onto your winnings and acca free bet clubs are a loyalty scheme.

Well, you should always, of course, pay attention to all of the terms and conditions. However, some things in particular to keep in mind include minimum odds, minimum wagers, maximum payouts and minimums number of legs. Another thing to consider is any time restrictions on qualifying bets or free bets.

During our research, we didn’t discover too many accumulator bonuses that utilised bonus codes, so not usually, no. However, this may not always be the case, so be sure to check for this and any other “opt in” requirements you may need to fulfil. This is also the case for promotions generally.
