TIP:

For example, Manuel Riemann made the most saves from any keeper last season for VfL Bochum. This generally means that the team isn’t great at defending, so you may want to look at bets to do with the opposition scoring.

Our German league table is one of the most comprehensive you’ll find, with over 30 available stats options to pick from. Many are perfect to use if you're making outright match bets. Over / under stats, both teams to score, and corners are among our top choices.

This season is shaping up to be a particularly competitive one, and although it’s early days, Bayer 04 Leverkusen and VfB Stuttgart are looking like worthy opponents to Bayern Munich.

  • The first Bundesliga match was played in August 1963, with the league back then consisting of 16 teams.

  • In 1965, it expanded to 18 teams and has remained so since. There was, however, a one-off season in 1991/92 when the league was contested between 20 teams.

  • Since the first season, Bayern Munich have won the title an impressive 31 times, leaving Borussia Dortmund and Borussia M’gladbach in second place with just five titles to their name. Werder Bremen, Hamburger SV, Stuttgart, Cologne, and FC Kaiserslautern have all won the title more than once.

Can't get enough of stats? Well, you’re in luck — we’ve got detailed statistics on Europe’s top five leagues and they're as in-depth as they come:

There’s no doubt that the Bundesliga is one of the most interesting leagues in Europe. Bayern Munich’s dominance doesn’t mean that there aren’t markets to bet on, and the stats table is just what you need to enhance your bets, creating more value.

Three games have ended with 12 goals scored: Bayern Munich 11-1 Dortmund(1971/72), Borussia Mönchengladbach 12-0 Borussia Dortmund (1977/78), and Dortmund 11-1 Arminia Bielefeld (1982/83).

Thomas Muller has won a record 12 Bundesliga titles, all with Bayern Munich. Manuel Neuer is second with 11 titles.

Bayern Munch’s biggest Bundesliga win came in the 1971/72 season against Borussia Dortmund, with a 11-1 score. Their biggest ever competitive win came during the 1997/98 DFB Pokal first round, beating DJK Waldberg 16-1.

Last season, Niclas Füllkrug (Werder Bremen) and Christopher Nkunku (RB Leipzig) both scored 16 goals, sharing the Torjägerkanonen trophy.
