Introduction

Restrictions to UK players – This bookmaker no longer operates in the UK. You can check out similar betting offers here.

Although bet-at-home have been a staple of the European betting scene for some time, they have only recently entered the UK market. Does this mean you are better off sticking to more established names? Or does the sportsbook manage to pack a sufficient punch? To find out, we at ThePuntersPage conducted an in-depth bet-at-home sportsbook review – read on to discover what our verdict was.

    Useful password strength indicator

One of the things that can sometimes put new players off joining a UK sportsbook is a cumbersome registration process. Fortunately, it could not be easier to sign up to bet-at-home.

Your first step is to find the ‘REGISTER NOW!’ icon. Handily, no matter where you navigate on the bet-at-home site, this remains in the top-right of the screen.

Clicking this will take you to the first stage of the sign-up process. This is split into two parts: Personal Data and Login Details. For stage one, you will need to input your Name, Address, Country, Currency, Date of Birth and Phone Number.

For the Login section, you will have to enter your E-mail and select a Password. We liked that bet-at-home let us know how strong our password was each time we put one in. We recommend choosing one with a Very Strong rating to ensure your account is secure as possible.

Click ‘Continue’ and you will be taken to the second and final registration step. Here you can impose deposit limits on your account — though this is not mandatory.

Overall, we experienced no problems when signing up to bet-at-home. The three-stage process took a matter of minutes to complete, and then we were ready to continue exploring the site.

    Generous deposit limits

Regardless of how you like to fund your sportsbook account, you are likely to find something to suit your needs at bet-at-home.

In terms of debit card payments, both VISA and Mastercard can be used. The operator’s e-wallet coverage is impressive, with both NETELLER and Skrill — including 1-tap and Online Direct Deposit — accepted.

banking

If you prefer to use a prepaid voucher, paysafecard is also accepted. Bank transfers with and without Trustly are also allowed. There is no mention of any maximum deposit limits; however, below are a list of bet-at-home's minimum payments:

  • List Icon

    Debit Card – £10

  • List Icon

    Trustly – £10

  • List Icon

    Skrill – £10

  • List Icon

    NETELLER – £10

  • List Icon

    paysafecard – £1

  • List Icon

    Bank Transfer – £10

These amounts also apply to withdrawals, with the exception of paysafecard. If you deposit via this method, you must instead use bank transfer.

If you want the quickest withdrawal time possible, we recommend staying away from this method as your money can often take at least three days to reach your account. Instead, you should consider using one of the aforementioned e-wallets, which consistently provide instant payments.

The only downside we could find to bet-at-home’s banking methods was the absence of cryptocurrency. Hopefully this is something they are open to adding in the future.

Welcome Offer

Have provided some great offers in the past

Sadly, during the time of our bet-at-home review, the operator was not offering a welcome bonus.

We may just timed it poorly, though. Previous welcome offers have included a £10 free bet and a generous deposit boost.

However, make sure you keep your eyes locked on ThePuntersPage for all the best sportsbook bonuses.

Sportsbook Promotions

Players are still made to feel at home

Unfortunately, we did not find any active sportsbook promotions when we were testing bet-at-home.

That is not to say that they do not offer any bonuses at all, though. In the past, they have rewarded existing players with free bets on big games, as well as reload bonuses.

VIP Program

bet-at-home does not yet offer a loyalty program to its customers. However, they have found other ways of making punters feel like part of a community.

Click on the ‘Promotions’ tab and you will be able to view all of their customers’ best bets, ranked in terms of total winnings. Seeing your own wager appear here is likely to be a proud moment, and it really adds to the fun of playing at bet-at-home.

Sports

Pre-match Offer

No matter your favourite sports, there is always a high chance that you will be able to find what you're looking for at bet-at-home.

During our bet-at-home review, there were more than 40 pre-match sports markets available. These ranged from mainstream choices such as football, tennis and boxing to more niche offerings like alpine skiing, futsal and bandy. Moreover, bet-at-home collates the highlights of that day’s betting at the top of the sportsbook so you never miss out on a popular match.

As with any sportsbook, bet-at-home’s most prominent sport is football. The depth of this market is quite staggering. When we were testing bet-at-home, there were just shy of a 1,000 different matches and outrights to choose from.

Pre-match Offer

The submarkets on offer were impressive as well. On one Europa League game we checked, not only were standard bets such as winner, handicap markets and under/over goals all available, but also many more specific options. These included when the first goal would be scored, whether a certain player would be booked and even which team would get the kick-off.

This variance is reflected across most of bet-at-home’s sports markets, although the deepest selections are found on football.

Aside from a great choice of markets, bet-at-home also offers competitive odds. When we checked the overround of several markets, they were always well below the industry standard 110% mark.

Esports

Esports are no longer the niche pursuit they once were, and bet-at-home understands this, offering plenty of markets to choose from.

Call of Duty, League of Legends and Dota 2 are just some of the esports titles covered by the operator. Punters will also be able to find eSoccer betting and e-basketball markets available.

Other Specials

Along with their sports and esports markets, bet-at-home also offer specials and novelty betting, such as Politics and in their Society section.

As well as all the television staples, such as BBC Sports Personality of the Year, Eurovision and The Voice, you can also bet on whether the Earth will be proven to be flat by 2025. (Yes, really).

Other Specials

We enjoyed exploring this eclectic selection during our bet-at-home review, and we have no doubt that you will love it too!

Cash Out & Bet Builder

Betting sites that offer cash out have revolutionised the sports betting industry since its introduction. The feature can be used on the majority of your bet-at-home wagers, although it will sometimes be suspended depending on what happens during the event in question.

Customising your betting experience is also possible, thanks to the operator’s great bet builder feature. You will also enjoy their Quick Combi feature.

Cashout & Bet Builder

As seen in the above image, Quick Combi combines that day’s five most popular bets into one combination bet, allowing you to place an accumulator in seconds.

Live Offer

    Dynamic odds

  • List Icon

Plenty of different markets to choose from

  • List Icon

No live streaming but statistics are good

bet-at-home’s live betting offering is nearly as impressive as their pre-match provision.

The majority of the operator’s 40+ sports markets support in-play betting, with football again taking centre stage. Whenever you bet on a live game at bet-at-home, the odds will be constantly updated in real time. This ensures that, whatever happens in the match, you will receive the fairest price possible.

Live Offer

Following live action with bet-at-home is a bit more of a mixed bag, though. There is no live streaming on the site at all. However, the operator does offer in-depth statistics on the vast majority of its in-play markets. These stats helped us to make informed decisions whenever we were live betting during our review.

If bet-at-home adds streaming options to its platforms in the future, it is likely to receive a full 5/5 next time we visit.

Security

5/5
  • List Icon

Fully licensed by two regulatory bodies

  • List Icon

    Committed to promoting safer gambling

Before we recommend any sportsbook, we always make sure to scrupulously check their security credentials.

Our bet-at-home review was no different, and we discovered that the sportsbook has not one, but two gaming licences. The first was granted to them by the Malta Gaming Authority, while the second was awarded more recently by the UK Gambling Commission.

Both of these regulatory bodies are very highly regarded within the gambling industry, and having their seal of approval confirms that bet-at-home adheres to the highest possible standards of player safety and fairness. Therefore, you can bet on the site and app without fear of being scammed.

bet-at-home’s security is also strengthened by the addition of SSL encryption, which protects all payment transactions made on the site.

Security

In addition, the operator is also fully committed to safer gambling. As we already mentioned, you can set deposit limits when you create your account, and players are also provided with reams of information on how to avoid problem gambling. This will help you avoid any unsafe practices.

Service And Customer Support

4/5
  • List Icon

Myriad of ways to get hold of the operator

  • List Icon

    Courteous and helpful customer service

  • List Icon

    No FAQ section

bet-at-home claims to be an open and transparent sportsbook, and that is certainly the experience we had during our review.

If you ever need support from the operator, all you need to do is click on the ‘Contact’ tab, which is located on the left-hand side of the screen. From here, you can either choose to enter the 24/7 live chat or fill out the contact form.

Customer Support

For any urgent enquiries, we suggest using the live chat. Whenever we asked for help, we received a reply in less than a minute. If you do use the contact form, you can expect to have a reply within 24 hours; however, if you need to attach screenshots to your message, you should email the operator at service.en@bet-at-home.com.

There is also the option to contact bet-at-home via telephone. For sports betting, the number you need to call is +356-27922492. Bear in mind that this is not a free service.

The only real disappointment we experienced when testing bet-at-home’s customer service was that there was no FAQ section. Adding this could help players resolve smaller issues by themselves without having to contact the operator directly.

Design & Usability

4/5
  • List Icon

    Intuitively designed website

  • List Icon

Placing a bet is very easy

  • List Icon

    Minimalist aesthetics

With so many different markets to display, designing the bet-at-home site must have presented quite a challenge.

The operator has risen to the task though, resulting in an easy-to-navigate and aesthetically pleasing interface. Scrolling through all of the different sports is a breeze, thanks to the addition of intuitive menus and submenus. These allow you to filter out the sports in order to find exactly what you're searching for. The customisation options also let you switch between live or pre-match markets, depending on what you desire.

As a whole, the site is also light on garish graphics, instead opting for a laid-back grey, green and navy blue colour scheme. This minimalist approach makes all the texts and icons extremely legible, which is exactly what you want from a sports betting site.

Mobile

3/5
  • List Icon

    No downloadable mobile app

  • List Icon

Website is optimised for smaller screens

  • List Icon

Easy to use and packed full of features

If you want to bet on the move, bet-at-home has you covered. Although they do not have a downloadable mobile app, it does have a version of its site that is optimised for use on mobile phones and tablets.

Worry not, however – you will not lose any of the sportsbook’s great features if you decide to bet on your phone. You will simply have to navigate a few more submenus to account for the smaller screen.

When we tested the mobile web app, we found placing a bet was just as easy as it is on a computer. The Quick Combi is also easy to locate, and the minimalist colour scheme remains unchanged as well.

Other Products

If you ever want to freshen things up after a lengthy sports betting session, bet-at-home also has a great online casino for you to explore.

This featured some of the most popular slots around, including Starburst, the Book of Dead and Rise of Olympus. No matter how many paylines or what theme you are looking for in your slots, there is likely to be something that tickles your fancy.

The bet-at-home casino also offers you to chance all the biggest table games. Roulette, blackjack and baccarat are just some of the options available, with a full contingent of video poker options featured as well.

Meanwhile, tennis, basketball and football all get the virtual treatment on bet-at-home. This means that even when there is a rare break in the fixture list, you will never be short of sports betting options.

ThePuntersPage Final Say & Overall Rating

3.6/5

Bet-at-home is a well-rounded sportsbook that will suit most players. Do not let the lack of a welcome offer put you off – there is still so much to enjoy on this betting site. From its deep and varied markets to its wide selection of banking methods and great customer service, there are plenty of reasons to give bet-at-home a try.
