British Masters Tips & Predictions 2025
Many of the players in the British Masters might not be the household names you see lighting up The Masters or the US Open, but that only opens the door for surprise finishes – and that’s exactly where the best value lies. With that in mind, these aren’t just our British Masters predictions, they’re also our top tips on where the odds serve up the best risk-to-reward ratio.
Alexander Norén to Win the British Masters (20/1 odds from Ladbrokes)
Here’s the thing: we’d put the top five favourites, Fitzpatrick, Rai, Højgaard, Norén and Neergaard, at pretty much the same chance of lifting the trophy. Maybe the faintest edge to Fitzpatrick, but not enough to call it value. Their recent form tells the same story: knocking on the door of major championships but not quite getting the job done. And we’d give Norén the nod thanks to a sparkling run at the Wyndham Championship and his experience as a past British Masters champ: knowing these greens could be the edge he needs to sink the winning putt. And at 20/1, that’s a very tasty punt indeed.
Matt Fitzpatrick: top 16 or better (5/6 odds from bet365)
It’s bonkers to us that bookies have Matt Fitzpatrick as favourite but also near evens to just finish in the top 16… Maybe they were just feeling extra generous or forgot how to do math. In any case, this is a fantastic value bet. Sure, Fitzpatrick fell just outside that at the BMW Championship in joint 17th place but that was with a tougher field. And if you look at his results in the Wyndham Championship, The Open, Genesis Scottish Open and beyond, you can see that he is consistently clearing that mark. We’d get on this before bet365 changes their mind.
Marco Penge Each Way 1/5 1-3 (28/1 odds from bet365)
Put simply, Marco Penge is playing the best golf of his life right now, winning the Danish Golf Championship and the Hainan Classic in recent months, plus finishing joint-second with Rory McIlroy in the Genesis Scottish Open. When he brings his A game, he’s right up there on the leaderboard. Inconsistency is the issue – a missed cut at The Open and a scrape into the top 30 in the Scottish Championship make him hard to back all the way. But given the momentum he’s carrying and the opportunity this week presents, a top three finish feels very achievable, certainly much more likely than the 28/1 odds from bet365 suggests.
Additional British Masters Betting Insights
Bottom line: the more you know, the better your chances of British Masters betting success. Nothing’s guaranteed, but these extra insights can help you line up smarter shots. Here’s everything else we think can help turn British Masters golf tips into profit.
Key Golfers to Watch
If you ask us, the best thing about the British Masters is the line-up. There’s enough talent to make it a top-tier golfing spectacle but not so to be dominated by one or two stars that the outcome’s predictable. Let’s meet a few of the contenders, shall we?
Matt Fitzpatrick (Official World Golf Ranking: 35)
Yorkshireman Matt Fitzpatrick isn’t just one of the most interesting personalities in golf – just check out his appearance on Full Swing if you don’t believe us -, he’s also one of the UK’s most talented players. A consistent top-spot contender, it’s been a while since he last won a major. The RBC Heritage win in 2024 was only his second PGA Tour victory after his shock 2022 US Masters triumph, but he’s certainly come close enough for us to believe another major could be just around the corner.
Alexander Norén (Official World Golf Ranking: 59)
Simply put, no other favourite has racked up more wins at this level than Alexander Norén. Ten European Tour victories, including the British Masters back in 2016, give the Swede experience that’s hard to beat. And while he hasn’t lifted a big trophy in a while, his recent form shows he’s still very much in the mix: third at the Wyndham Championship, fifth at The Sentry, and a top-ten at the BMW Championship are no small feats. If he can recapture a bit of that old magic here, we could be looking at a surprise winner.
Luke Donald (Official World Golf Ranking: 609)
He may have peaked back in 2011, but what a peak it was. Luke Donald tore through the DP World Tour that year, bagging trophies left and right, becoming the first ever to top both the PGA Tour money list and the European Race to Dubai in the same season, and scooping up more Player of the Year gongs than you could shake a 9-iron at. Things have quietened down a bit since the pandemic, and he’s not exactly the threat he once was on the fairways. But let’s not forget, he captained Europe to a Ryder Cup win only a couple of years ago in 2023. So, if you think Donald’s done and dusted, think again. Class is permanent, and the bloke still has plenty left in his caddy.
Brandt Snedeker (Official World Golf Ranking: 310)
Interestingly enough, Snedeker’s pro career really took off after his second PGA Tour title at The Heritage back in 2011, when he saw off none other than a red-hot Luke Donald. From there, he was steady away, racking up titles and top-three finishes culminating in 14 career wins on tour. Since 2015, though, those victories have become few and far between as injuries caught up with him. No sensible British Masters golf betting tips would back him to win the whole thing, that’d be a stretch. But if you spot a good price on Snedeker to make the cut, it could be well worth a punt. He’s managed top ten finishes at both the Valero Texas Open and the Memorial Tournament in the past couple of months, so the old magic clearly isn’t gone just yet.
Danny Willet (Official World Golf Ranking: 309)
The former Masters winner made a surprise return to Augusta in April following major shoulder surgery and impressed with an excellent opening round before finishing a respectable 42nd. He’s wisely avoided rushing into a full-time schedule, and The British Masters will be his second course in what we hope will be a feast of golfing performances over the next year. While still a wildcard due to injury, his talent is undeniable. If the odds are fair, we’d back him to make the cut, possibly higher if the price is right.
A Deep Dive into The Belfry: Course Analysis for Punters
The Betfred British Masters might take place at The Belfry, one of the finest golf venues in the world with three world-class courses on site, but this leg of the European Tour unfolds specifically on that legendary theatre of champions known as The Brabazon.
It’s a par-72, 7255-yard icon that might look like a dream but requires a level of precision on its fairways that can soon turn the experience into a nightmare for all but the best players in the world. With narrow landing zones, strategically placed bunkers and water hazards waiting to punish anything even slightly offline, even top pros can come unstuck.
To succeed here, golfers will need pinpoint accuracy off the tee, superb control with their irons, and a rock-steady putting stroke. Course management and the ability to remain calm under pressure are vital. Want some more general British Masters tips? You’ll want to back players with experience either on this course or similarly demanding greens like the brutal bunkers of Wentworth Club or the punishing fairways of Valderrama.
What’s the British Masters Prize Money?
With $3.5 million in the purse and £595,000 for the winner, the Betfred British Masters is dangling some serious stacks of cash. Add a crack at DP World Tour glory, and the world’s top golfers will find this harder to resist than a freshly pressed polo shirt. In short, once the full player list drops, it’s bound to be an absolute belter.

BetVictor’s Extras Take Them to Another Level
Ben Gibson: The reason BetVictor is my top pick for this tournament comes down to two things. First, when it comes to your Betfred British Masters odds, they’re right up there with the best, both in terms of variety and quality. Can’t fault them at all. Then you’ve got all the extras: the Lucky Dip, the trending accas, the bet boosts, the specials, it’s all there. In a nutshell, these extras make BetVictor my clear first choice for British Masters betting.
British Masters Golf Betting Sites with Livestreaming
You won’t get to sneak a peek at a sliver of stroke play during the British Masters from even the best live streaming betting sites, as Sky Sports holds exclusive broadcasting rights. That leaves you with two simple options: you can either fork out the cash for a subscription or see if it’s showing at your local. Dealer’s choice.
