French Open Betting Tips & Predictions 2025

To kick things off, we’re going to serve up a look at our latest French Open betting tips. It has taken weeks of research to see where the value lies, scrutinising the odds and deciding where best to wager.

French Open WTA Betting Tips 2025

We’re going to break down each of our French Open tennis tips between the men’s and women’s games. And as a gentleman should, it’s ladies first with the WTA French Open Predictions.

Iga Swiatek to Win the French Open – 13/10 with Unibet

The Queen of Clay. Swiatek is just 23 and has already won five majors, with four of those at Roland Garros. Her game is perfectly suited to clay; athletic defence and the ability to apply massive amounts of spin make her incredibly difficult to play against. She’s had a decent start to 2025, without hitting top form, but she knows how to get it done in France, and although she’s the best price at 13/10 with Unibet, Swiatek is the one to beat this week.

Coco Gauff to Reach the Final – 13/1 Each-Way with Unibet

It’s crazy to think that Coco Gauff is still only 21 years old. She could be up there with the all-time greats, which is a bold call, but to have already wrapped a major win at the 2023 US Open for singles and the 2024 French Open in the doubles, she’s highlighted just how good she is. The risk is that her 2025 has got off to a slow start, but she’s already had one appearance in the final (2022) and has reached at least the quarterfinals each visit since 2021, highlighting that clay suits her style. 13/1 looks a good price for an each-way bet.

French Open ATP Betting Tips 2025

We now switch our focus to French Open predictions for the men’s game. It looks a lot more competitive than the women’s and, from a betting perspective, might yield a little more value.

Carlos Alcaraz to Win the French Open – 7/5 with Unibet

There’s been a changing of the guard in the men’s game over the last couple of years, mainly driven by the incredibly talented Spaniard, Carlos Alcaraz. He’s already bagged four majors, and we’re backing him to go back-to-back at Roland Garros. His loss to Djokovic at the Australian Open wasn’t all that surprising, given he’s struggled there so far, but he’s a different beast on clay. He will take some stopping this year and we’re tipping him to romp to a fifth major title, which is best priced at 7/5 with Unibet.

    All-time wins/matches: 316/401

    All-time clay wins/matches: 152/189

Grand Slam titles: 3 – US Open 2022, Wimbledon 2023, French Open 2024

Novak Djokovic to Reach the Final – 8/1 Each-Way with BetVictor

Father Time has been incredibly kind to the Veteran Serbian. Djokovic will be 38 when the tournament starts, and the three-time French Open champion will still pose a threat. He made the quarterfinals in 2024, but more importantly, played great at the Australian Open earlier in 2025, showing there’s still fight in the old boy. Getting 8/1 on someone with 24 majors seems a huge price, and we can offset any risk with an each-way bet to churn a nice payday still if he makes the final.

Additional French Open Betting Insights

As part of our guide on French Open tips, we want to give you an insight into the wider playing field for alternative picks you could make. Think of these more as outsiders that can go well this week. You can apply a little more caution with the names mentioned below, but they’re well worth tracking in the lead up to the main event.

Key Players to Watch

We kick things off with our very own Jack Draper. The British No.1 could cause a stir this year at Roland Garros after what seemed like a lightbulb tournament at the 2024 US Open, making his first Grand Slam semifinal. Lefty will need some luck with the draw, but at 50/1, he’s worth an each-way shot.

Jannik Sinner is next on our list, and to be honest, he could have made it as one of our overall picks. The Italian already has three majors to his name, so there’s no doubt he’s absolute class. But the French Open hasn’t been kind, with a single semifinal appearance in five visits to Roland Garros. He’s too good not to be in the mix this year, but we think there’s likely better value than his 11/4 price tag.

For the women’s game, how can we not talk about Jasmine Paolini? She was the fairytale story in 2024, romping to both the singles and doubles final before eventually losing to Swiatek. Just a few weeks later, she also made the final at Wimbledon to put her name on the women’s tennis map. She’s a force on clay, where she won gold at the Paris Olympics and will be another key player to watch this week as well.

Whenever the majors come to town, the best French Open betting sites kick into gear. There’s an influx of offers for new and existing players, and generally, you get a little more value in terms of promotions than most tour events.

One of the sites that’s caught our eye this year is bet365. They have their traditional Bet £10, Get £30 welcome offer, one of the best we’ve tested, but they’ve also included a Tennis Retirement Guarantee in the majors. How this works is if the opponent of the player you’ve bet on retires hurt from a match, they will pay your bet as a winner. The stake will be returned as cash, and the profit will be paid in bet credits. It’s a sweet deal, as usually your bet would be void and you’d only get your stake back.

Betfred will be the go-to for those looking for as much free cash as possible. New accounts will get a £50 free bet when you deposit and place your first bet of £10. That’s a 5x return on your money, which is massive for a welcome offer.

There aren’t many better times to bet on tennis than during the majors. More eyes mean bigger coverage from the bookies, so the range of markets you can bet on starts to open. Below is a list of the most popular ones, with a little more on how each works.

Easily the most popular market and one we cover within our French Open tips. All you need to do is pick the player you think will win the tournament. It’s as simple as that.

As the name suggests, pick the winner of the match and you’re quids in here. There will be match odds for every game across the men’s, women’s and doubles games, so there’s tons to bet on.

You need to have your wits about you for this, as not only do you need to pick who will win the game, but you also need to predict the score. For example, it might be Djokovic to win 3-1 in a best-of-five game. This can offer good value for short-priced favourites who you think might drop a set.

Handicaps are where one player is given an imaginary advantage over the other. It usually has to do with the total number of games won. For example, if you pick Swiatek -7.5, she must win eight or more games more than her opponent throughout the match. Again, this is another great market for value from short-priced favourites.

This is the combined number of games and a simple over or under for that betting line. For example, if Alcaraz and Sinner played a game that finished 6-4, 6-4, 6-4 to Alcaraz, then the total number of games would be 30. Let’s say your bet was over 28.5 games, your bet would be a winner.

Markets come alive once the game starts, and there’s value to be had from in-play betting. All the above are accessible, but there are dedicated markets, such as next set winner, next game winner and correct score for the current set. Momentum is huge for these markets, so you must watch to take advantage of potential odds shifts before they move.

French Open Live Betting

Adrenaline junkies love the live markets. There’s nothing better than watching a match and reacting to how the players are performing, and live betting does exactly that.

Clay courts lend themselves brilliantly to it, which is why it’s so popular at Roland Garros. It’s slightly slower, with longer rallies, meaning momentum can quickly sway. Markets to target include the next game winner, breaks of serve (yes/no) and exact set score. We would describe these as the easiest to predict (assuming you’re watching, of course) and can dump a ton of value if executed correctly.

Don’t Miss a Serve with Roland Garros Livestreaming

Most of the major bookies have livestreaming options linked to the French Open. bet365 is the one that springs to mind, who cover all the games, and all you need is a funded account (anything over 1p will do) or to have placed a bet on that game to get access.

The match centre, where the games are streamed, also includes tons of stats and data, paired with the live betting markets to make it super interactive. Other notables that will have decent coverage are Betfred, Coral, and Unibet.

Other Factors to Consider When Betting on Roland Garros

Roland Garos is unique. It’s one of the coolest tennis setups on rotation, but with that come factors you need to consider before you bet. We’ve highlighted these below.

Court Surface

Clay courts are slow. They favour baseline grinders, which is why the likes of Nadal have been so successful there. When looking for tennis French Open tips, target players who are specialists on the surface and look at form specifically for clay. You can even expand this to look at the weather. Hot and dry will add a little more pace, levelling the playing field a little, but cooler, damper weather will give the specialists an even bigger edge.

Player Endurance and Style

Clay will produce long rallies and matches. Your picks must be comfortable going well past the three-hour mark, especially in the men’s game. Djokovic is an excellent example of a beast that almost thrives on the longer games and is therefore well suited at Roland Garros.

Psychological Aspect

The French aren’t shy about voicing their opinions. Crowds have been known to create some hostile atmospheres in the past; for some, it can be too much. You need your French Open betting tips to be mentally strong. As we’ve already said, games are longer than most majors, so this mental fortitude can go a long way to balance a lack of ability or talent.

French Open (Roland Garros) Betting FAQs

There are a lot of great French Open betting sites, but the standout is bet365. Not only do they have the biggest range of markets to bet on, but also include livestreaming, a £30 free bet, bet builders, boosted odds and a brilliant live betting section.

You can bet on Roland Garros using any of the major bookmakers. One of the best is bet365, which has a vast range of markets to access, but all the reputable UK-facing sites will have good coverage throughout the fortnight of the French Open.
