Manchester United will be looking to get back into the top-four with a win against a struggling Southampton side.
A mid-week win against Crystal Palace saw United return to winning ways following their stalemate against rivals Liverpool. A brace from Romelu Lukaku alongside a goal from Ashley Young was enough for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side to win out comfortable 3-1 winners at Selhurst Park.
With Arsenal also winning in mid-week, thrashing Bournemouth 5-1 at the Emirates, the Red Devils find themselves one point adrift of the Gunners who currently occupy the final Champions League spot in the division.
Visitors Southampton will be keen to build on their mid-week triumph which saw them emerge as 2-0 victors at home to relegation rivals Fulham. First-half strikes from Oriol Romeu and James Ward-Prowse was enough for the Saints to see off Fulham.
The victory has seen Southampton climb out of the bottom three at the expense of Fulham who now occupy the final relegation spot.
The hosts have quite the injury lists with eight players missing out for United with injuries. Jesse Lingard, Ander Herrera, Phil Jones, Nemanja Matic, Antonio Valencia, Matteo Darmian, Juan Mata and Anthony Martial are all sidelined with injuries.
Southampton will be without youngster Michael Obafemi who was injured last Sunday in the Saints' 2-0 loss to Arsenal. Mario Lemina is also out with Danny Ings a doubt for the clash.
Potential Manchester United Starting XI: De Gea, Shaw, Bailly, Smalling, Young, Pereira, McTominay, Rashford, Pogba, Dalot, Lukaku
Potential Southampton Starting XI: Gunn, Bednarek, Yoshida, Vestergaard, Valery, Ward-Prowse, Romeu, Hojbjerg, Bertrand, Armstrong, Redmond

- United undefeated in their last six against Southampton.
Key Stats & Facts
- Manchester United have been winning at half-time and full-time in eight of their last 11 Premier League games.
- Southampton have only won 3 of their 14 Premier League away games.
- United, on the other hand, have only lost one of their 13 Premier League home games.
- Manchester United 5/11
- Draw 37/10
- Southampton 38/5
The hosts have been in great form recently, winning nine of their last 11 Premier League matches. Moreover, with the Red Devils leading at half-time and full-time in eight of their last 11 Premier League games, the hosts should be emerging as victors again against a poor Southampton side.
However, the Saints will come into this one in high spirits following their win on Wednesday against Fulham. It was a big win against a relegation rival but they will certainly not be expected to win here.
United shouldn't face too many problems especially with the visitors strike-force struggling to get going this season and they should be confident of another home win.
Also, fresh from his mid-week brace, Romelu Lukaku will be eager to add to his tally of 10 Premier League goals by exploiting a leaky Southampton back-line.
