The first round of the post international break concludes with Arsenal’s home tie to Leicester, where the gunners have shown signs of a turnaround in form from the early season slow start.

There are plenty of betting opportunities to wet the appetite, such as Arsenal draw at half time and full time win at nearly 4/1, or the 9/5 on Arsenal to win and both to score as two examples. With a few injury doubts and suspensions, the chilly Monday night could be in for a great match.

Team News

Starting with Arsenal: Sokratis was forced off at half-time in Greece's 2-0 defeat to Finland on Monday and is a huge doubt for the Gunners here. Petr Cech will also require assessment closer to kick-off.

Danny Welbeck is back in training after pulling out of England's squad during the international break. Aaron Ramsey pulled out of Wales' squad with his wife due to give birth and it remains to be seen whether he will be available to feature against Leicester on Monday.

Leicester team news includes Wes Morgan serving a two-match ban and will likely be replaced at centre-back by Jonny Evans.  Demarai Gray and Matty James are sidelined for the Foxes.

Potential Arsenal Starting XI: Leno, Bellerin, Mustafi, Hoding, Monreal, Xhaka, Torreira, Ozil, Ramsey, Aunameyang and Lacazette

Potential Leicester Starting XI: Schmeichel, Chillwell, Maguire, Evans, Amartey, Ndidi, Mendy, lbrighton, Maddison, Pereira and Vardy

The Verdict

The bet I have identified has a certain yes factor to it in my opinion. This bet is for over 2.5 goals and both teams to score, which is a smidgen under even money with Coral and Boylesports.

Reason for the bet is the stats just lean towards this as an obvious selection and is pricewise. Before checking the prices, I had earmarked this market as one to consider and considering that both teams to score is a bigger price than both teams to score supports this.

Seeing both to score at 8/13, but over 2.5 goals at 1/2-8/15 implies the layers think a combination of three goals is more likely than both to score. In addition, the total goal line is about the same as the gunners winning the game

Both sides have the scoring power and Leicester were strong at both teams to score landing last season. Some cynics out there may swerve this on the basis of the balance of probabilities and may take the home side to win the game.

I believe under the lights at the Emirates, the roar of the Monday night crowds and playing in front of the cameras will help set up Arsenal, before their Europa League home game on Thursday night.
