Ben’s Bet Of The Day
Sunday’s Bet of the Day sees us travel to Italy for an attractive 11/8 shot.
Cristiano Ronaldo grabbed the headlines during the week, but Juventus’ 2-0 win away at a hostile Mestalla went under the radar.
The Italian giants have won five from five in all competitions without getting out of first gear and can extend their run against a newly-promoted Frosinone side who are yet to score this season. The Canarini are clearly struggling up a tier and were beaten 5-0 by Sampdoria at home last weekend. They conceded two or more goals in 12 of 42 matches last season.
Juventus have scored two or more goals in each of this season’s matches and have opened the scoring inside the opening half hour in three of four domestically.
Over the last two seasons they’ve been winning at half-time in 53% of matches and I expect Juventus to control this game from start to finish. They lost just once on the road last season, keeping a clean sheet in 53% of their travels. Since the start of the 2016/17 season, Juventus have shut out opponents 51% of the time in Serie A.
Cristiano Ronaldo got off the mark in his last Serie A game with a brace and there are strong signs that things are beginning to click for Massimo Allegri’s side.
Juventus have had the most shots in Serie A this season with Frosinone mustering the second-fewest. I’m keen on the 11/8 on offer about Juventus winning both halves. This Sunday clash looks a mismatch and I struggle to see how Juventus don’t cruise to victory.
