TABLE OF CONTENT
In this in-depth review, we’ll be scrutinising the functionality of BetTarget as well as its sportsbook to see how it stacks up against its competitors. The bookmaker was established as recently as 2021.
Registration Process
- Four steps
- Basic information required
- Well laid-out
BetTarget’s registration process is split into four parts: email, logins, detail confirmation and welcome bonus.
To begin, new customers will have to list their email before clicking the ‘ENTER’ button that appears once that’s filled out. The login process includes creating a BetTarget username and password.
You’re then required to confirm your personal details. The information required is basic, such as mobile phone number, address, name, preferred currency and date of birth.
Once you’ve given that information, agree to the terms and conditions and the bookmaker’s privacy and cookie policies. You also have the choice of whether you’d like to receive information regarding any special offers. This is also where you can enter any bonus codes that you may have got your hands on.
BetTarget will then encourage you to make your first deposit and take advantage of their sports welcome offer.
Deposits & Withdrawal Options
- Several payment options
- Depositing fees
- Lengthy withdrawal times for debit cards
- Easy depositing and withdrawing processes
There are several payment options available for customers. UK customers can make deposits via debit card (Visa, Mastercard and Maestro), PayPal, bank transfer (instant banking), Trustly, MuchBetter and paysafecard.
The minimum deposit for each of these methods is £10, however, information regarding maximum deposits wasn’t accessible. 2.5% fees are also included with debit cards and PayPal deposits.

The withdrawal time with each method varies. For example, customers can expect to receive their funds within six days with a debit card, two days with PayPal and MuchBetter, and four days with Trustly and instant banking.
Depositing Funds
To deposit funds into your BetTarget account, click the purple ‘Deposit’ icon located in the top right-hand corner of the homepage. A list of the bookmaker’s payment options, shown in the above image, will then manifest.
We opted to deposit via debit card, specifically Visa Debit.
To deposit with a new card, we had to list the card number, name on the card, expiry date and security code. Three default deposit amounts appeared, but we wanted to deposit the minimum £10.
As you can see, after we put £10 into the ‘Amount’ bar, BetTarget confirmed that we would be charged a 2.5% fee – so a charge of £10.25 for our maiden deposit.
If you forgot to add a promo code during the registration process, you can do it here. We didn’t have any codes, so we went ahead and clicked the green ‘Deposit’ icon to fund our account.
Confirmation of our £10 deposit is shown above.
Withdrawing Winnings
To withdraw funds from your BetTarget account, begin by clicking your profile icon located next to your balance in the top-right corner of the homepage. Once you hover over that icon, a dropdown list will present itself – as shown below.
Click ‘My Account’. That’ll bring up the below page. To withdraw, click the grey ‘Cashout’ icon below ‘Deposit’.
You then have to confirm your withdrawal method and the amount you wish to withdraw from your account. We wanted to take out the entirety of our current £11.50 balance.
By clicking ‘Request Cashout’, BetTarget should receive your withdrawal request.
Confirmation of our withdrawal request can be seen above.
Welcome Offer
- Bet £15 Get £10
- Little value
- Entire sportsbook available for Free Bet token
BetTarget boasts a rare welcome offer in that new customers are rewarded with less than their initial deposit. There’s little value in their ‘Bet £15 Get £10’ promotion.
Punters will receive a £10 ‘Free Bet token’ after they stake their first £15 on BetTarget’s sportsbook. To ensure you’re eligible for this offer, all qualifying bets must be placed at 1/1 odds or greater, while deposits cannot be made via PayPal.
This qualifying bet must be settled within 14 days of its placement. Customers can use their token on any sports market at 4/5 odds or greater. The Free Bet token expires after 14 days.
Sportsbook Promotions
- Leaderboard promotions
- Horse racing & football emphasis
- Healthy cash pools
- No VIP programme
While BetTarget’s welcome offer underwhelms, there are plenty of other sportsbook promotions for punters to get stuck into. The bookmaker offers various ‘Battles’ for different football and horse racing events.
These battles are leaderboards in which punters compete against one another for a lucrative cash prize. For example, there are Premier League Matchday battles, Euro Elite battles, as well as Wednesday and weekend horse racing battles. A £1,000 pool is up for grabs almost every week.
These promos are great because they test the betting prowess of entrants. To qualify for a particular battle, you must place five different bets each with a £5+ stake..
BetTarget also boost accumulators (up to 70% for 15+ fold).
VIP/Loyalty Programme
BetTarget currently doesn’t boast a VIP or Loyalty programme of any kind for its customers.
Pre-Match Offer
- 28 sports make up the sportsbook
- Great odds and football coverage
- Simple betting process
- Cash-out but no Bet Builder
28 sports make up BetTarget’s sportsbook, allowing punters to bet on leagues, events and competitions from all over the world.
Importantly, their football coverage is impressive, and, at the time of writing, there were 1,169 football events to bet on. On average, BetTarget offers a more than sufficient 350 markets for the most popular matches. There’s plenty to get stuck into, overall.
But how do their odds stack up?
To measure the quality of BetTarget’s margins, we used the odds overround. The overround is a calculation that combines the total percentage probability of all selections in a match coming true. Naturally, the result of this should come to 100% – however, this does not factor in the profits made by the bookmaker. For this reason, it is widely accepted that any figure below 110% is considered to indicate fair odds.
We picked three games at random from the Premier League, Coppa Italia and EFL Championship that returned margins of 104.54%, 104.89% and 105.12% respectively. This would suggest that BetTarget’s odds are both competitive and notably consistent.
Punters can display their odds as fractions, decimals or American. The minimum stake is 8p, while the maximum stake is bet dependent.
Placing a Bet
We wanted to place a football bet with BetTarget. To do so, we scanned the listed sports down the left-hand side of the homepage. Football, due to its popularity, is listed at the top. There were a plethora of leagues available to bet on, and we opted to punt on the FA Cup tie between Liverpool and Norwich.
After clicking ‘Football’, the countries manifest as a list below. To access FA Cup markets, we simply clicked the box after opening up the ‘England’ tab.
That brought up all of the day’s games, as shown below. As you can see, we’re hovering over the 3/20 odds that denote a Liverpool victory over Norwich. By clicking these odds, this bet was immediately placed in our bet slip.
Here’s our bet in our bet slip.
We opted to place £10 on this bet for returns of £11.50. To confirm our bet, we entered the stake and clicked ‘Place Bets!’.
It took just seconds for our bet to be processed and authorised
Confirmation of our bet is shown above.
Esports
At the time of writing, there was just one esport game available to bet on: League of Legends. On the whole, their esports coverage is mediocre with just one market (match outcome) accessible for the events available.
If you type in ‘esports’ in the search bar located on the left-hand side of the homepage, the results display all previous esports events covered by BetTarget in recent years. The games that came up included FIFA, NBA, NHL, Counter-Strike, Dota 2, Starcraft 2, Overwatch, Valorant, Rocket League and Call of Duty.
Be sure to check out our esports betting tips if you want to improve your chances of winning at esports betting.
Other Specials
BetTarget is covering the 2022 Oscars and BAFTAs in immense detail. A multitude of markets are available to bet on, including Best Picture/Film, Best Actor, Best Actress and Best Director. Other, more niche, awards are also covered, such as Best Animated Feature Film and Best Documentary Feature.
Markets for seemingly every Oscar award is offered by this bookmaker.
On the entertainment front, BetTarget is currently covering the Brazilian version of Big Brother.
Their political coverage is limited to the next US and Brazilian Presidential elections.
Cash-Out & Bet Builder
You can take full control of your bets with BetTarget’s cash-out or partial cash-out features. Punters, however, aren’t able to access a Bet Builder feature to spice up their bets.
Live Offer
- No live streaming service
- Neat features that enhance experience
- Sufficient coverage
BetTarget’s live coverage is easily accessible via the in-play tab highlighted in white in the above image (on the left-hand side of the page). Overall, their live coverage was sufficient.
Live features are powered by Stats Score. These features include statistics, a match tracker, head-to-head records, league tables, starting XI’s and the game’s key events. This ensures punters get a gauge of what’s going on.
In the above game, a Turkish Super Lig encounters, there were over 100 in-play markets. This is pretty impressive considering the likely popularity of this fixture.
A multitude of live events are available at any one time across various sports, but there is no live streaming service to enjoy.
Security
- Licensed and regulated by UK Gambling Commission and Malta Gaming Authority
- Strong responsible gambling emphasis
- Several available account restrictions
BetTarget is operated by Aspire Global International Ltd, which, in turn, are licensed and regulated by the Malta Gaming Authority. They also hold an Irish betting licence. For their UK operations, games are provided by AG Communications. They’re licensed and regulated by the UK Gambling Commission.
At the bottom of the homepage, external links are provided for potential problem gamblers to seek further support. A dedicated responsible gambling page can be also accessed via a link. A self-assessment test immediately manifests before the information is provided regarding the protection of minors, preventing compulsive gambling and gauging problem gambling. More external links are also provided here.
To prevent potential addiction, BetTarget has several account restrictions for customers to set when they feel it’s necessary. These restrictions include deposit limits, a reality check, time-outs and self-exclusion. Punters can also set session time limits and autoplay limits.
The bookmaker’s privacy and cookie policies are also available to view via the ‘Privacy’ link accessible at the bottom of the homepage.
Service & Customer Support
- Robust FAQs section
- Support isn’t 24/7
- Live chat & email
Customers can access BetTarget’s FAQs section through the ‘Getting Started’ link displayed at the bottom of the homepage. Their FAQs section is rigorous and robust, with queries split into 12 different categories. A multitude of questions are answered here.
However, if you require further assistance, BetTarget’s support team are on hand. You can contact the bookmaker via live chat (available every day between 07:00 and 23:00) and email. These options are shown in the above image.
We opted to test out BetTarget’s Live Chat function. After clicking the icon, a small tab opened up in the bottom right-hand corner. By clicking ‘Customer Support’, our live chat session began.
It took no time at all to connect to an agent and we asked about any VIP programme the bookmaker might have. Swiftly, they responded with a detailed response that explained why their loyalty scheme no longer exists. They cited the “changes to how we can reward our players” as the primary reason why they had to ditch their scheme.
This response was massively helpful and after our initial query was resolved, they asked whether there was anything else they could help us with. This was a nice touch, and our experience with BetTarget’s customer support was pleasant, overall.
Design & Usability
- Sub-par design but coherent structure
- Clean technical performance
- ‘Target Tip’
BetTarget’s website boasts a primarily blue, black and white colour scheme. The design is forgettable, but at least they avoid including gimmicky advertisements as a means of sprucing up the site.
The structure, on the other hand, is rather impressive. Tabs are illustrated clearly, and all components of the site are easily accessible.
The centre of the page is dominated by events and markets. Down the left-hand side, BetTarget’s sportsbook is listed below favourited events as well as Trending Bets and Booster Bets. On the opposite flank, the ever-presence of your bet slip simplifies and fastens the betting process.
There was little to no fault from a technical aspect. And although there was some delay on the promotions page, this slight lag isn’t enough to detract from an admirable technical performance, overall.
There isn’t a blog, nor are there any statistics, But BetTarget’s ‘Target Tip’ can be used by customers to aid their betting strategy. This is a recommendation engine that analyses data and information before providing suitable bets on a range of sporting events and markets.
Mobile
- Currently no mobile app
BetTarget currently has no mobile app available to download on the App Store or Google Play.
Other Products
BetTarget also boasts a casino product for customers. There are numerous games to enjoy, including slots, jackpots and table games, as well as live casino events. These live events range from blackjack to roulette and baccarat to poker.
New customers can take advantage of a casino welcome offer offered by the bookmaker. Like their sports promotion, however, this welcome offer isn’t very rewarding. While punters can earn up to 200 bonus spins on various games, they’re forced to deposit a large sum to receive these bonuses.
After you make your first deposit (minimum £10) you’ll receive 50 free spins on Book of Dead. But then, your next two deposits must be at least £20 to receive 100 spins on Fire Joker and 50 on Starburst.
This bonus is only available for UK customers.
ThePuntersPage Final Say
Like many recently established bookmakers, BetTarget is far from the finished article. While their coverage of popular sports is impressive , the bookie has one too many holes to fill before it can compete with more recognisable competitors.
More rewarding welcome offers would go a long way to enticing new customers because their sportsbook promotions offering is sufficient. This means that this bookmaker would be able to retain the interests of punters once they’ve registered.
Overall, BetTarget’s flaws are expected considering their recent emergence, but such issues must be resolved before they can garner the trust of more and more bettors.
