Title chasing Man City travel to Burnley needing another win to take them back to the top of the table. City passed two tough tests in the past week by beating Spurs 1-0 and then winning the Manchester Derby comfortably thanks to goals from Bernado Silva and Leroy Sane. City will be confident of grabbing another win against a team they score 5 against earlier on in the season.
Burnley have been in good form of late and picked up a very good point against Chelsea away from home on Monday night. They now sit on 40 points and look certain to be in the Premier League next season. They now have the chance to spoil the party on Sunday by taking points off a flying Man City side.
Burnley will be without Aaron Lennon and they have doubts over Peter Crouch.
City will be without Kevin De Bruyne and they have doubts over Fernandinho who picked up a knock in midweek.
Potential Burnley Starting XI: Heaton, Lowton, Tarkowski, Mee, Taylor, Hendrick, Westwood, Cork, McNeil, Barnes, Wood
Potential Man City Starting XI: Ederson, Walker, Kompany, Laporte, Zinchenko, Gundogan, Fernandinho, Silva, Sterling, Aguero, B Silva

City have 3 massive games left and they know if they win them all that they’ll retain their Premier League title. This game has been touted as a potential banana skin for City and their fans might be a bit nervy, but I can’t see anything other than a win for the visitors. City are overwhelming favourites at 1/6 for this game and I think they’ll be putting another 3 points on the board with a few goals to go with it.
There have been many stand out players for City in their recent run and you could probably choose a lot of them to find the back of the net on Sunday but in the big games you often see their main man, Sergio Aguero, find the back of the net. Aguero is 11/4 (Betfred) to score first on Sunday and he does seem due a goal with only 1 in his last 5 games. He did find the back of the net last time he played against Burnley.
I mentioned before that I don’t think Burnley have much chance of taking all 3 points, but I can see them giving City a bit of a scare. Both teams to score in this game is 11/8 and Burnley have found the back of the net at least once in their last 13 home games in all competitions. They have been in good general goal scoring form of late and the performances of Ashley Barnes and Chris Wood have seen the Lancashire side take big step towards Premier League survival.
Staying with the theme of both teams scoring I think we can couple that with one side winning. Man City to win and both teams to score is 21/10 (BoyleSports). That bet came in 2 games ago against Crystal Palace and there are obvious similarities between that fixture and this one in terms of the style of football that City will face.
