This is a game where both sides will fancy taking all the points with odds compilers making the visitors the marginal favourites around the 6/4 mark representing an implied 40% chance of winning the game. Usually when we get match odds as chalked up considering the outcome with the greatest return price is a possible play. In this case like most is the draw and the price is BIG, but anticipate from my shortlist a team market will be a way to play this.

Not knowing the extent of the Fulham dressing room’s motivation with the manager reportedly hanging by a thread, this is Bournemouth’s to take. However, Fulham may just surprise.

Team News

Starting with Fulham Tom Cairney, Calum Chambers, Joe Bryan and Timothy Fosu-Mensah are all injury concerns for Fulham.

No team in England’s top two-tiers have conceded more league goals than Fulham (25) this season and the fact that three of their injury concerns are defenders is not good news for an under pressure Slavisa Jokanovic.

Alfie Mawson has only started three games for Fulham this season and will surely be considered in Fulham’s defence this weekend. Ryan Sessegnon may also drop back into defence.

Bournemouth team news Ryan Fraser recovered from injury to start against Southampton last weekend and Eddie Howe has no reason to make any changes here.

Charlie Daniels is the only injury concern for Bournemouth ahead of Saturday’s trip to Fulham.

Potential Fulham Starting XI: Bettinelli, Christie, Odoi, Mawson, Sessegnon, Seri, Anguissa, McDonald, Vietto, Mitrovic and Schurrie

Potential Bournemouth Starting XI: Begovic, Smith, Ake, Cook, Francis, Fraser, Cook, Lerma, Brooks, King and Wilson

The Verdict

Layers are braced for a goal-fest in this game, with the both to score odds no bigger than 1/2 and three or more goals a shade bigger at 4/7 with William Hill. Like in the Arsenal game on Monday, where I recommended this same market combining both teams scoring and three or more goals enhances the odds to 3/4 with Coral.

Taking on board that Fulham have been leaking goals left right and centre, Fulham gaffer Slavisa Jokanovic reportedly has two matches to save his Fulham job. The Cottagers spent vast amounts in the summer but are in the bottom three and have conceded at least six more goals than any other team in the Premier League.

Bournemouth are sixth and have a good chance to pull to within a point of the top four. The Cherries are unbeaten in three league games ahead of their trip to Craven Cottage. Considering Bournemouth to net two or more is also a consideration with Coral at 10/11. They have netted twice in two of their four away games, but think Bournemouth have the added bonus of being in an increasingly motivated place and have also considered Bournemouth a race to two goals at 7/5 with Hills. Mitigating risk and Bournemouth to net twice has a fair chance of landing just in case Bournemouth manage to keep a clean sheet chinning both teams to score.

Recommended Bets

  • Bournemouth to net 2+ goals – 10/11 (Coral)
