Monday Night brings us another instalment of this season’s fascinating title race when Man City take on Leicester at the Etihad under the lights. City need to win to go back to the top of the table and keep this title race in their own hands after Liverpool’s dramatic Saturday night win against Newcastle.
Leicester travel to Manchester with a chance to spoil the party and every Liverpool fan will be hoping that Brendan Rodgers will be able to get his team fired up to take points of Man City.
With Man City playing an already safe Brighton on the last day it’s fair to say that this game could be the one that decides where the title will end up.
Kevin De Bruyne and Claudio Bravo have been ruled out for the home side. Fernandinho is a doubt.
Daniel Amartey is the only injury concern for Leicester.
Potential Man City Starting XI: Ederson, Walker, Kompany, Laporte, Zinchenko, Gundogan, Fernandinho, Silva, Sterling, Aguero, B silva
Potential Leicester City Starting XI: Schmeichel, Pereira, Evans, Maguire, Chilwell, Albrighton, Tielemans, Ndidi, Maddison, Vardy
Head To Head

Key Stats & Facts
- Man City haven’t lost their last home league match of the season since 2013.
- Man City have scored in every home league match they have played this season.
- Spurs 4/9
- Draw 9/2
- West Ham 69/10
This game has been touted as a potential banana skin for Man City and they could find it tough against a rejuvenated Leicester side. This stage of the season is where weird things can happen in football and that anxiousness might make its way into City’s performance on Monday night.
They are still heavy favourites at 1/8 and the bookmakers are usually right with these things, but I can’t imagine that City fans will feel comfortable tomorrow night coming up against an awkward Leicester side. City will look to their stars in attack to get them over the line against Leicester and the man for the big occasions is Sergio Aguero who scored the winning goal in their last match and I think you can rely on the little Argentine to find the back of the net again on Monday night. Aguero is 3/1 (BoyleSports) to score first. He is the main target in and has 15 goals in 16 home PL games this season.
I do think the form of Leicester will cause City a few problems and with the Home side likely to play a high line they could be susceptible to the counter attack. The player spearheading that attack will most likely be Jamie Vardy who has been in terrific form of late. Vardy has 10 goals in bhis last 9 games, and he also has the most goals against the ‘Big 6’, 31 in total. He is 31/10 (BetHard) to score at any time in the match.
This is simply a game that Man City have to win and I think they’ll have just a little too much quality for Leicester on the night and I think Man City to win and Both teams to score at 6/4 (Betway) is a good angle for this match. City will face a few problems and I don’t think they’ll keep a clean sheet but they will probably have too much relentless possession for Leicester to keep them out more than once.
