After the first of a few International breaks we return to the club football fold where Arsenal will want to seize the advantage against a vulnerable Newcastle United who remain winless from the first four games.
Toon’s only registered point was in a forgettable clash with Cardiff and will need to kickstart their campaign and fast. Against an Arsenal side, where some may claim the jury is still out on the post – Wenger era, this game may produce a surprise.
The international break was a welcoming by both sides as The Gunners have failed kept a clean sheet so far this season and Newcastle are without a win this season. You can be sure that Rafa’s men will want to emulate the 2-1 victory last term. With Shelvey still out for Newcastle, Arsenal may field a similar starting XI in their 3-2 victory last game in a rumoured 4-3-2-1 formation.
Potential Newcastle Starting XI: Dubravka, Yedlin, Lascelles, Fernandez, Clark, Dummett, Kennedy, Diamé, Ki Sung-yueng, Pérez, Rondón
Potential Arsenal Starting XI: Cech, Bellerín, Mustafi, Papastathopoulos, Monreal, Guendouzi, Xhaka, Özil, Ramsey, Aubameyang, Lacazette
Head To Head

The bet I have identified has a certain yes factor to it in my opinion. This bet is actually marginally bigger than the outright for Arsenal to win, which on their opening four games would call into question who would be backing them on their coupons this weekend. I firmly believe had Arsenal been edged out to evens, punters would take it all day long. At a shade of odds on the layers are being greedy.
The bet I am taking on is from the popular request a bet, and expect if a following take this on, the even money price will shorten. The bet is for both sides to be awarded at least three corners and also to both receive 10 or more booking points each. Effectively over 2.5 corners each and over 0.5 cards each at evens with Skybet.
Arsenal are only 2/4 on the corners, failing against Man City and Chelsea. Toon have made the cut in three from four, again like Arsenal being denied by Manchester City. On the cards, Arsenal has seen the booking points land in all four games and Newcastle landed in the first three.
I would certainly take on this bet rather than backing Unai Emery’s Arsenal on the outright and a 50% implied chance is a more than fair chance of landing.
