The Verdict

Wolves have taken five points from their opening four matches so has been a reasonable start, but in the same respect have played better than the return they have yielded. Burnley have endured a torrid season, winless and already out of the Europa League before the group stage.

On merit Wolves are in a better place than Burnley at the moment, so the outright win at 3/4 is a consideration. Looking at the Asian Handicap, the enhanced evens for Wolves minus 0.75 goals also appeals with the benefit that if they do win by one it is a half win and half stake refund.

Looking at a side bet, Hills offer a #YourOdds market on both sides over 1.5 corners in each half. This is 3/1 and with Wolves having strengths in shooting from direct free kicks. In addition, weaknesses at defending set pieces and long shots, which Burnley are able to attack makes this implied chance of 25% of landing for a small bet interest.

Recommended Bets

  • Wolves -0.75 Asian Handicap – 1/1 (bet365)
  • Both teams over 1.5 corners in each half – 3/1 (William Hill)
