Our Recommended Best Champions League Betting Sites
bet365 Champions League Betting
Possibly the biggest and best Champions League betting site in the world, bet365 has it all. From in-depth markets to their generous bet boost options, I really can’t recommend the bookie enough.
Their Champions League odds are among the best we’ve seen, with a 95% payout average, and they boast a whole host of added features including early payouts, acca boosts, live updates, and so much more.
BetVictor Champions League Betting
This traditional betting site's Champions League match betting section is full of bet builder boosts, and they offer about 190 markets per game. However, their payout leaves something to be desired at around 90%.
One of the main benefits of BetVictor is the fact that extra time counts towards all bets (unless stated otherwise), and they’re especially lenient on assist bets including penalties won, woodwork rebound, and much more as assists.
SBK Champions League Betting
Perfect for the bettor on the go, this app-exclusive bookmaker is easily one of the top around. Rewriting the sportsbook as they put it, SBK offers an excellent, sleek app with ‘Price +’ bet boosts and Champions League betting tips.
Their Bet £10 Get £30 is one of the best ones we’ve seen, and is perfect for Champions League betting.
Parimatch Champions League Betting
Did somebody say bet boost? Parimatch just might offer the most bet boosts from our list. This makes up for the 90% average payout margin, which could be better.
This bookie is also partial to offering Champions League free bets and acca bonuses — another great string to their bow. An interesting betting rule they offer is that if a match is abandoned and postponed, your bets won’t be voided, but carried forward.
William Hill Champions League Betting
A classic UK betting site, William Hill is a bookmaker not to be trifled with. Their odds for Champions league match betting are one of the better ones at around 93% payouts, and their frequent bet boosts put them right up there.
The #YourOdds lets you come up with your own accas, creating a more personal touch and opening up an entire world of betting options. Their ‘Top Bets’ section also shows you where to find the best odds.
How To Bet on Champions League Online
So, you know where to bet, but the real question is: how should you bet on the Champions League? Here are the best tips to get started:
Step 1: Do your research
It’s the most important part of any well-thought-out bet, and doing your research includes anything to do with discovering what could affect the outcome of a match. Some factors to keep in mind when Champions League betting are:
-
Stats — The most valuable way to track anything is through stats. Check out our football stats centre for everything you need.
-
Injuries — If a team’s key player is injured, it may affect the team’s overall quality of play.
-
Location — Who’s playing home? Teams tend to play better in front of their own crowd.
-
Stakes — Is the match a must win? Or has a team already qualified? Teams might change their line-up or style of play depending on the context of the match.
Step 2: Choose your ideal markets
Once you’ve done the research, select the markets which are most related to what you’ve found. For example, if Manchester United get many yellow cards and have a must-win clash against Galatasaray, it’s likely to be a fiery occasion — so betting on cards could be ideal.
Step 3: Search for bet boosts
Before actually placing a bet, it may be worth checking whether any bet boosts align with your research. Bet boosts increase the value of certain bets by up to 10% on average.
Step 4: Place your bet
Place your Champions League bet knowing that you’ve made the most of your punt. Sit back and enjoy the match.
Apps for Champions League Betting
There are dozens of amazing Champions League betting sites that have dedicated iOS and Android apps, and picking the best one can be a laborious task.
ThePuntersPage offers the 21 best betting apps in the UK, all of which provide great stability, more customisation options than their desktop counterparts, and are suitable for all operating systems regardless of their updates.
Champions League Betting Odds
Who doesn’t love getting a bargain? Finding the best Champions League betting odds can often feel like a win already. Below are the top odds from the best UK betting sites.
Champions League Winner Odds 2023
Unsurprisingly, the biggest favourites in this season’s edition of the UEFA Champions league is Manchester City. The reigning champions have been unbelievably dominant both domestically and in Europe, and could be a shoe in to retain their crown.
Bayern Munich are hot on City’s trail and Harry Kane’s brilliant new life in Bavaria could get them over the line. Lastly, Real Madrid look to climb back to the top for the 15th time with Jude Bellingham leading the charge.
Champions League Top Goalscorer Odds
A favourite for punters everywhere, guessing the top scorer of any tournament is tricky, let alone for the biggest club competition in Europe. With Messi and Ronaldo out of the way, the top goalscorer is much harder to predict.
Hotly contested by experienced players as well as young stars, here are the best odds available:
From the odds above, here are the top five goalscorers total goals after the first four rounds of the group stage:
Champions League Betting Tips & Predictions
Here are my predictions for the outcomes of the group stage:
Group | To Top the group | Odds | Other team to qualify | Odds |
---|---|---|---|---|
Group A | Bayern Munich | 1/33 | Manchester United | 9/4 |
Group B | Arsenal | 1/14 | PSV | 1 |
Group C | Real Madrid | 1/25 | Napoli | 1/12 |
Group D | Inter Milan | 8/13 | (Already qualified) | – |
Group E | Atletico Madrid | 2/11 | (Already qualified) | – |
Group F | PSG | 11/10 | Newcastle | 7/4 |
Group G | (Already won) | – | (Already qualified) | – |
Group H | (Already won) | – | Porto | 1/8 |
Once we go into the knockout rounds, it is important to note that the away goals rule has been removed, and ties level after 180 minutes will go into extra time — regardless of the number of goals each team has scored, both home and away. The tie will go to a penalty shoot-out if the teams still cannot be separated after the extra 30 minutes.
Since the Champions League round of 16 draw is mostly random, it makes predicting which teams will progress extremely difficult. Just ask PSG who faced Real Madrid and Bayern Munich in the last two seasons, losing to both!
That being said, these are my predictions for the eight favourites and where I think they should finish:
Team | Position | Reasoning |
---|---|---|
Manchester City | Champions | I’d hate to admit it, but Man City are just so dominant, that I can’t see any team actually beating them. |
Real Madrid | Finalists | Absolutely world-class right now, especially with Jude in attack. Real are undoubtedly the second-best team in Europe…but can they beat City? I’m not so sure. |
Bayern Munich | Semi-Finalists | They haven’t had the best season so far, but they’re still Bayern Munich and they’ll win when it matters most. Probably still not enough to beat the two teams above. |
Arsenal | Semi-Finalists | Arsenal are playing some beautiful football, and they can finally compete with the big boys. It’s still a tall hill to climb. |
Barcelona | Quarterfinalists | Finally finding their feet after Messi’s departure, I think they’ll be challenging the top spot in a few years’ time — just not right now. |
PSG | Quarterfinalists | It looks like another season of disappointment for the Parisians, but I don’t think they’re better than any of the teams above. |
Atletico Madrid | Quarterfinalists | Simeone is working his wonders, and while Atletico are strong, I think they’re only slightly better than Inter on this list. |
Inter Milan | Quarterfinalists | Last year’s finalists aren’t as strong without Lukaku, and I think they’re the weakest from the eight favourites (the bookies agree). |
Obviously these all depend on the draws, as anything could happen with that.
Most Popular Champions League Betting Markets
The biggest club sport in the world has no shortage of betting market options to make fantastic and exciting bets. Let's take a look at the most popular Champions League betting markets.
Champions League Betting on Favourites (Even If They Fall Behind)
The unpredictability of football is legendary — well, is it really that unpredictable? The predicted favourites of the tournament, especially in the group stage, are almost always correct.
Betting on the favourites to win their matches or progress from their group could provide great value. To show you just how consistent the best teams are, here are the biggest team’s last three seasons group stage stats combined (2020 – 2023). Perfect for Champions’ League group betting.
Team | Wins | Draws | Losses | Goal difference | Points |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Bayern Munich | 17 | 1 | 0 | +48 | 52 |
Liverpool | 15 | 1 | 2 | +29 | 46 |
Manchester City | 13 | 3 | 2 | +32 | 42 |
Real Madrid | 12 | 2 | 5 | +22 | 37 |
PSG | 11 | 4 | 3 | +21 | 37 |
The consistency is unbelievable, and the best football betting sites will still give decent odds on each team’s matches — especially if the favourites fall behind.

Champions League Betting on Many Goals
When searching for great Champions League betting odds, look no further than scoring markets. It’s a high-scoring tournament, so much so, that in the last five seasons, over 56.5% of matches saw at least three goals scored, whilst a third of matches had at least four. This is significantly higher than other top leagues.
Wagering an over/under or a total team goals bet is a great way of accurately predicting the amount of goals in a game.

Best Champions League betting site for Many Goals — BetVictor
Outright Champions League Betting
Outrights are brilliant, they’re unpredictable, exciting throughout the whole tournament, and most of all, they are lucrative. Predicting outrights is no easy feat, and there are many to choose from. These are the top picks:
-
Outright winner: Bet on the team you think will go on to win the lot. The Champions League winner odds will be quite decent, especially before the start of the competition.
-
Outright top scorer: Before Erling Haaland, this was actually tricky to predict. Will anyone outscore the Norwegian? Choose the player you think will score the most goals.
-
Group winners: Still an outright market, betting on which teams will progress and win the groups offers a lot of value. This is perfect for accumulator betting.
-
Best Champions League betting site for outrights — Parimatch
Bet Builders & Champions League Betting
The Champions League betting scene is one of the most in-depth in all of sport. The sheer number of markets means that you can benefit by placing bet builders on your favourite matches.
There are so many to choose from, including shots, corners, cards, passes, tackles, fouls, and so much more — a bet builder will increase your Champions League betting odds without having to predict anything ludicrous.
-
Best Champions League betting site for bet builders — bet365
Champions League Betting — In-Play Markets
There’s no way like in-play! The Champions League bet offers for in-plays are just as massive and could have amazing value. The best sites also feature stats or some sort of livestream or live update service, keeping you close to the action.
Brilliant in-play betting ideas include betting on a player to get booked, and betting on a team to score in both halves if they need to score goals to increase their goal difference.

New Champions League Betting Markets To Try
Special Champions League Betting Markets
As the tournament draws such a massive audience, betting sites will often offer special Champions League betting markets to keep punters interested. Some previous examples include sportsbooks offering odds on the nationalities of each of the finalists, as well as which English team will progress furthest in the competition. Operators may also offer special combi bets on especially big games, not just from the Champions League, but the UEFA Europa League and the UEFA Conference League as well. These sorts of markets will become increasingly prominent when the knockout stages get underway.
-
Best Champions League betting site for special markets — Parimatch
Handicap Markets
The gulf between the favourites and the underdogs in the Champions League has never been greater. Due to this, the group stages (and even some knockout ties) can be incredibly one-sided affairs. If you want to bet on the underdogs but do not want to risk losing your money in outright markets, Asian Handicap and European Handicap are ideal bets. Here, odds are weighted, so backing an underdog entails betting on them not losing by a certain number of goals. In practice, this gives you a rare opportunity to bet on the less-fancied team in a Champions League group tie and still have a high chance of winning.

Best Champions League Betting Offers
Trying out Champions League betting for the first time? You can get a helping hand by claiming a sportsbook offer. Here are some of the most popular bonuses you are likely to come across online:
Free Bets
There are several different ways to earn free bets to start off your Champions League betting journey. Many sportsbooks will include them in their welcome offer, and they can often be earned via loyalty programmes.
Deposit Bonuses
At some sportsbooks, your first — and possibly your second, third and even fourth — deposits will be subject to a generous boost. A 50% boost on a £20 deposit would give you a total of £30 to bet with — a brilliant way to make your Champions League betting bankroll stretch further!
One-Off Bonuses
As Champions League betting drives a lot of traffic to online bookies, sportsbooks often offer special promotions on particularly big games. During the latter stages of the tournament, competition for punters heats up, leading to an increase in these types of offers. Keep your eyes peeled from the quarter-finals onwards!
Champions League Betting Statistics
There are only three truths in life: death, taxes, and of course, stats. They don’t lie, and if you’re going to place bets, using stats is the best way to make informed decisions. This Champions League stats page is the perfect place to start.
-
Before placing an under/over goal bet, you should look at both team’s defensive record. Two sides that are strong at the back are likely to play out a low-scoring game, making a bet of Under 1.5 Goals more viable. However, more attacking teams will likely result in more goals.
-
An easy way to get a feel of how a lesser-known club may get on is by carrying out statistical analysis. Looking at things like their expected goals for and against, possession, and pressing stats can give you an idea of whether they stand a chance against some of the stronger teams in the competition. All of these can be found in our in-depth stats centre.
Looking for more than just stats? KickForm is one of the best places to find match predictions and a whole lot more, including profit/loss tables to help with your Champions League betting.

History of the Champions League
The Champions League, formerly known as the European Cup, was first held back in 1955. The tournament initially emerged as one of the many pan-European initiatives to bring the countries of Europe together in an attempt to avoid a repeat of another disastrous war. As strange as it might be to compare them, these initiatives also gave rise to the Eurovision Song Contest one year later.
The tournament originally only featured 16 teams, who won their respective leagues. It was played as a simple knockout cup competition up until the 1992/93 season, when it was rebranded as the UEFA Champions League (UCL).
Further developments allowing for the introduction of the Group Stages — as well as the entry of non-champions in the tournament — proved to be highly lucrative, and thus the competition we all know and love today was born.
